March 26, 201411 yr Author Umi's Chart highlights:This week, in the Radio Songs chart's 23-year history, "Happy" moves to second place among titles with the biggest weekly audiences with 219 million audience impressions.Having sold at least 300,000 in each of the last six weeks, "Happy" is the first song to link such a streak since Katy Perry's "Roar" also reached the 300,000-downloads sold mark in six straight frames over its first six weeks of release last August through October."Happy" is the first song by a male artist to rack such a run since Thicke's "Blurred Lines" did so for a record 10 consecutive weeks last year."All of Me" earns top Airplay Gainer honors on the Hot 100, ending the eight-week streak of "Happy" claiming the award (the second-best stretch ever; "Blurred Lines" linked 10 weeks in a row)."Let It Go" is now the highest-charting best original song winner on the Hot 100 since Eminem's "Lose Yourself," from "8 Mile," won for 2002 after spending 12 weeks at No. 1.Digital track sales this past week totaled 21.6 million downloads, down 1 percent compared with last week(21.8 million) and down 13 percent stacked next to the comparable week of 2013 (24.8 million).Year-to-date track sales are at 290.5 million, down 11 percent compared with the same total at this point last year (328.2 million).

March 26, 201411 yr Wow at Idina :o If I were her I'd be seriously considering recording more music right now. How close was Pharrell to the record this week?
March 26, 201411 yr Wow at Idina :o If I were her I'd be seriously considering recording more music right now. i think you need to bare in mind though the success of this song is in the context of an animated musical. i agree she could do well in a similar context again (she did it with 'wicked' before) but as a solo act i cannot see it working; would be a lea michele sort of situation...

March 27, 201411 yr Only 3 new entries this week, Calvin being the highest at #69. And two of them are Brits. :cheer: Nice jump for 'La La La', can 'Latch' follow suit and get a move on rather than being a non-mover at #100.
March 27, 201411 yr Soko now holds the record for biggest fall from the chart  Glad to see Fancy doing quite well, I saw it getting 1m+ audience updates :o Didn't expect to see JLO rise as well! Edited March 27, 201411 yr by *Tim
March 27, 201411 yr So much for Soko 'possibly challenging for #1 this week' then Umi  (Shocked it's even possible for a song to drop from the top 10 to out of the Hot 100 with the Billboard formula (even if it were a recurrent which it isn't AFAIA)). Yay for Calvin and Ellie entering / Naughty Boy shooting into the top 40 (top 20 next week?)

The fact that 'Let It Go' is the highest charting soundtrack single since 'Lose Yourself' just made me remember how poorly 'Skyfall' ended up doing. I still wonder how high that would have peaked if it had actually got a full week of digital sales, rather than that Friday release :(
March 30, 201411 yr I know will.i.am's solo career has never really taken off in the USA but it's quite bizarre that 'Feelin' Myself' is struggling to even make the Hot 100 when it was such a big hit in the UK, especially as all the featured artists are as big or bigger in the USA.
