The latest information I've got for the UK is 69% contributing to the chart are physicals and 31% are digital downloads but that was in early 2013. I'm guessing it's somewhere around that now here aswell, maybe the physical is like 60% and digital is like 40%.

The figures for last week were 63% physical and 35% for digital in the UK albums market. Just fyi.

That could be illegal downloads.
I'm so shocked that there hasn't even been a whisper of promotion for the album and single. It wouldn't have been difficult for this to go top #2. What the F are they playing at?

those holidays aren't going to take themselves

Where did the other 2% go?

The figures may have been rounded down and like JSG said, illegal downloads (queue evil chills)

371 in albums on amazon.

1265 on iTunes.

From popjustice?

Yes. I've talked with the member in question privately and he said he would try to give a second listen to the song to see if there's actual swearing in it. He said he hated the song so much, he kind of blacked out. I think he was a bit hard on it if I'm honest. He just described it as "generic" and it's not like their other songs wasn't. He said that, even though he loves them and absolutely loves Mollie, he isn't that much of a fan either, so maybe that's why he didn't like it.

Someone else from Popjustice (again ) know someone who has heard '808' and told them while discussing 'What Are You Waiting For' : "Wait until you hear the next single!" which I suppose means it's a banger....Although the plans of a second single seems to be incertain now???

The other person (the one I talked with via PMs) also told me the record company didn't expect 'What Are You Waiting For' to have such an abysmal response from radios and that it has messed up all their plans.

Of course, all of them could be lying, but come on, let's have a bit of faith in people. The first one send me a picture of him holding the 'Finest Selection' chocolate box (it's been sent to magazines/reviewers/journalists, radio producers, etc) and the second one has always been reliable. He's the one who gave us the What About Us midweeks before the actual midweek and I remember he gave us the sales figures on days we weren't supposed to have them (Monday/Friday) (he works in the business).

Again, you're all free to make whatever you want from this information. ;)

Wow, now we know that the record label has acknowledged that the single is not being played a lot on the radios. I thought they thought everything was going fine and sitting naively on their chairs at home patiently (like Pixie Lott's management).

Hopefully they will do something about it

How much can they really do though? They have been to quite a few radio stations to promote. The track is incredibly radio friendly. They are an established act so it shouldn't be that hard to get their music played. It's all so annoying.
Alexandra Burke, Pixie lott, Cher Lloyd etc are established acts who can't get radio airplay. It's more capital who are irritating me atm. They are currently play listing only 2/3 songs a week that it's annoying

WAYWF is getting better radio airplay than Not Giving Up, believe it or not. Unfortunately, it's only from radios who have quite low listenerships, but it's currently on 475 plays (poor, I know) and NGU was only just over 400 on release week.

The main problem with the airplay is the lyrics really. Yeh, the song itself is very radio-friendly but the lyrics are just 'party, party, party', a subject matter which has tired over the last couple of years and now can be seen as dated. That and the 'What Are You Waiting For?' parts are what puts me off the song as otherwise I really love the production.

I said it before the song premiered, but this is not what the group needed to get airplay back on board. They should have seen with NGU that dance-pop is not the way to go for them. They should have returned with a big full on pop single in the vein of Ego/Higher.

I think they should return to those sort of tracks too, for sure. But I think they're too reluctant to want to do it given their recent songs.

Because those count towards the chart :drama:

And I think that'll be much much bigger than 2%
