The record company totally messed up with X. Bad single choices, bad track selection for the album tracks. Some of the songs that didn't make the album were not just album worthy, they were worthy of becoming singles. X had potential to be so much greater but was totally let down due to bad decision making.

 

 

yes, especially the georgeous 'Come Down' which is 100 times more worthy of being a single than '2 Hearts' and 'All I See'...

and 'Like a Drug', 'Speakerphone' and 'Sensitized' were screaming to become singles but were mysteriously left out.... 'Speakerphone' or 'Come Down' should've been released as first single in the US not the lame 'All I See'....

The public aren't interested in Kylie full stop, I'd say.

 

they still are interested in her, that's a fact, and the proof is her huge concert ticket sales... same with Madonna... her last 2 singles didn't even reach the top 40 yet she had the biggest grossing tour of 2012....

artists like Kylie and Madonna don't care about sales anymore in the download era since it's very hard to achieve success in the digital era if ur over 35 ( FACT)... they will never score number 1's again but they will continue to sell out arenas which is where the money is..... :P

The only thing frustrates me is that she went to the 'niche' act, although that niche is very large, judging by the selling out tours. You always want your artist to have a *proper* impact with your music.

She hasn't lipped any of her other performances though?

 

The album only thing is really stupid, it didn't help The Saturdays.

I Was Gonna Cancel up to 167th in Australia ITunes....... keeps moving up but not going to be a hit it seems.
Her albums are still doing well in Australia despite the singles flopping. Kiss Me Once went number 1 in Australia.
Well apparantly she was singing live, but the backing track was too loud or something?
Verses were clearly live, chorus either mimed or inaudible... I liked the performance though.

The record company have again opted for remixes rather than B sides. The remixes aren't very good so I won't be supporting this release again.

I am holding out for Golden Boy appearing on some format. It happened with one of the ITB bundles on Amazon, it only got added shortly before release.

If not then, poo. I will still get the digital bundles from itunes. The remixes for IWGC are so much better than the ones for ITB.

I agree..... I love IWGC so I bought the CD single as was OK priced. I will buy the remixes bundle on Amazon and maybe the album version as this looks likely to be the highest charting one on ITunes.

Not that keen on the moto blanco version to be honest, although its the best from the bunch. I have the album so won't be supporting this I'm afraid.
