The craziest thing I have loved all year from Babymetal holds on again at the top this week but sees off stiff competition from what is verging on becoming Within Temptation's best song (still gotta fight off Memories) and yet another reason I need to get Hydra soon. Christina Perri also sees double in the top 5. I think I may have become Regina. Not that that's a bad thing of course. ^_^

ikr :( Too many good songs have DNQed already this year, while I wasn't the biggest fan of Sugarbread it was nice to see something different and risky in the contest, that's better than generic stuff all the time.

In any case, it's not good when it's only the third contest of the year, but both my DNQs I love more than my qualifier. Rejects domination here I come.

 

I don't think I've ever considered putting Rather Be out of the top 10 yet, it's just too good for that

WWIW is AMAZE. Although Piotr >>>>> Dave when it comes to which version is better.

 

Have you checked out Anette Olzon's album? I was kinda disappointed, I wanted something heavier from her :( although Invincible is stunning.

Well I was always going to love the Avicii-esque country sound and when that's added to a girlband doing a (what I think is quite interesting) bridge and chorus, it makes for a great combination.

 

Oh totally agree, Burning Gold for one, it's one of her strongest already, sounds like it could be a smash hit and then there's the Ed Sheeran one, impressive followup to Lovestrong as a whole which, as much I love her, wasn't the best fully formed album.

I think I have heard both versions surprisingly. Dave mainly but both are very good.

 

I'm SO bad for albums recently. :lol: I have at least 5 I need to check out, I did kinda like Invincible but it didn't stick with me, will have to give it a listen at some point, although that doesn't sound so promising. :(
