Thrilled to see she is back working with RedOne. 'Gypsy' was by far and away the best thing on ARTPOP so the more RedOne productions the better, they really do work so well together.

 

I have been re-obsessing over 'The Fame: Monster' and 'Born This Way' both recently, so I hope with this album we can pretend that ARTPOP didn't happen and get a continuation in quality from that point. Thanks.

DON'T WE ALL. Been playing her back all this week and craving her back so badly. The new blonde hairdo / look she is sporting and teasing us with makes me think she's preparing for a new ERA but that is probably just wishful thinking and we still have ages to wait :snif:

I am finding a million new things about myself, what I want and who I want to be but most importantly, I have actually found a place to put so much pain and anguish that I have nowhere to put. You can put it in your music but that’s not always what people want from me in my music… They want a sweet, delightful, ‘Just Dance’ kind of girl or they want ‘Bad Romance’ and that’s fine. I am happy to give people that but maybe with my song ‘Dope’ or some of the things I did on ‘Artpop,’ you saw a kind of dark side, wrapped up in colors. But maybe that was not always what people want to see. They want to see the perfection. Here (on ‘Hotel’), it’s the imperfection that is the win. So it’s very liberating

I am glad she has found peace within herself, so hopefully she doesn't need to channel so much ANGST/rebellion in the music. She needs to really enjoy the next era - ARTPOP was exhausting for her (and the fans).

ARTPOP was exhausting because she didn't listen to us. Gypsy was a song screaming to be a single and yet she gave up hope :(

Is Hotel the album tite?? Would give me Fame Monster vibes or maybe a single.

 

Glad to see she's stopped being pretentious and has taken the ego hit and going back to doing actual good pop music. Maybe this is what she needed to get back on track.
