Famed disco guitarist and producer Nile Rodgers shares his experience of working with Lady Gaga on new songs for her upcoming album, due out next year.

 

"She's the greatest, I love her," he told Time Out. "How can you not love someone who sings her ass off, comes to the studio looking like a million dollars but will stay there all night if you want. And just let you change a song, rewrite it and let you do all sorts of stuff, and she's cool with it. She'll experiment, she's a real musician – she’s what every composer and producer wants to work with."

Lily Allen spilled the info at the 2015 British Fashion Awards red carpet. "I was meant to be in the studio with Mark Ronson tomorrow and he cancelled on me because Gaga's here," Allen revealed, adding: "I'm just going to turn up anyway, and be like, 'Hi Gaga!'"

I CANNOT wait for this album, as much as I appreciate her work with Tony the pop realm has been so bleak without her! hope she releases her first new single around grammy time with a performance and video GIVE ME THAT GAGA TAKEOVER I LOVE

Although I admit that her albums (since The Fame Monster) have been getting gradually worse as she gets more pretentious, I ADORE Gaga. Whatever she wants to chuck out next, I'm ready to lap it up (at least for a couple of months.)

I personally feel her later albums lik e BTW and Artpop are much better than The Fame, especially the likes of Judas, PENUS and Gypsy, so more of that please Gaga

"I've been writing a lot for the past year," Gaga said. "[American Horror Story]has really affected my voice, I have to say. I'm using my listening from acting in my music more, which is crucial because it's music. Who knew I could listen even more? It's amazing to even talk about. There's a tremendous freedom and a recklessness, but there's also a sophistication in the show. There's a lot of liberation, but it's a very chic liberation. Here's what I will say: when I wasn't working on the show I was truly miserable because I had no safe house to get out any of my vices. Now I have a safe house for my vices so when I'm making music I just have a lot more clarity. I have a little less of an instinct to be reckless with my music now because I'm reckless in other places."

 

She continued: "So now I'm thinking more about what it is I want to say and what I want to leave on Earth. It's less an expression of all my pain. There will be some of my pain on the record for sure, but it will be more than that. My last album was riddled with a ton of pain. That whole record. It's almost like you couldn't even get to what it is. Now, the show gives me an outlet to put things somewhere, so when I get to the piano I'm in a deeper place already. I have something completely other to explore."

This news does seem to put back the rumours that she's mixing some songs. Would be odd if she's mixing songs while also writing more new material :unsure:

 

Unless the mixing is only for the lead single which is set to come much earlier than the rest of the album..

He said Artpop sucked so he's helping with tbe new one haha and she's back to the old stuff. He must have told ber Artpop especially messes like Venus were bad, and given her recent comments it sounds like she knows this.
