Soon to be available on iTunes worldwide..... "Letters to ghosts" Single..... check back here for announcement

Lucie's not exactly the best when it comes to the word "soon" but this is the closest we've come to a proper announcement. So so excited, it's LONG overdue

Soon is an understatement, every time i hear of a release i automatically think it wont happen. I would love to know what is causing all the delays.

It's the fact that she doesn't have a label that's causing the delays, plus she's got her own life out in America right now, with her partner, so naturally that comes first :P

Surely not having a label would reduce the likelihood of delays? Independent artists have much more freedom over how to manage their career :P

They do, but it's affording everything as well, I know that's why Janet Devlin used PledgeMusic, to help her fund recording and manufacturing the album as she didn't have a label at the time. So no, it doesn't really reduce the likelihood of delays :P plus there's her own personal life also.

I absolutely ADORE the jam session version of Letter To Ghosts, but the studio version doesn't work for me.

This could very well become the biggest FLOP in history, even though she/the song don't deserve it.

I just bought this, before even listening to it. As I've been waiting for YEARS to hear this, I felt the need to instantly have it on my iPod.

Catchy, jaunty little pop song on the first listen, I really like it. I maintain that she's still one of the strongest singers I've ever seen live vocally.

I think it's already exceeded expectations by going top 500 on iTunes, 8 years since the last album (which flopped badly itself), she was never going to be in a position to get anything resembling a hit now so there's zero expectation and hence anything is a success!

Yeah I wouldn't say it'd be the biggest flop in history, the last album did so badly (annoyingly) and 7 years on, I'm not entirely sure anything's even expected of this, so it's doing just fine IMO. I'm just so glad we're finally getting some new material, hopefully we'll get the album this year.

As for the song, it's safe to say I love it :kink: Although I've known it for a couple of years now (maybe even 3 years actually), been a live version floating around on YouTube for ages so I'm very familiar with it  Lovely to hear a studio version FINALLY though.

Never bothered much with Lucie, but I gave this a listen and I loved it  got itself one more sale :smoke:
