All of which means buzzjack's favourite KB album is...

1. The Hounds of Love (10.00)

What more can be said about this album. A regular in All Time Best Album lists, this could very well be a perfect album.

Much is made of Abbey Road's suite of continuous music, but the second side of the original album (entitled The Ninth Wave) towers above it. A seamless piece of music that truly represents the best of Ms Bush.

Right. I'm going to buy The Dreaming on vinyl soon. I love about half of it. The rest will probably grow on my in time. Get Out of My House is amazing.
Can't argue with that as a winner!

So having finished the album results here are the singles...

33. The Man I Love (6.36)

Definitely the track that stands out from the rest of her oeuvre (and for the wrong reasons for you lot). The actual release was credited to Kate Bush and Larry Adler, this is a cover of a 1927 Gershwin tune and while it is pleasant enough it is completely overshadowed by just about everything else she ever recorded and so deservedly comes bottom of our singles poll.

32. Eat The Music (6.63)

This is a pleasant enough little African pop inspired ditty that seems to provoke some extreme reactions online. Only released as a single in the US, it reached #10 on one of the incredible number of different charts they have over there which I guess made it fairly popular.

30. Rocket Man (6.92)

I listened to this a lot when it came out as even though it was by an artist I really didn't like very much, I could listen to her sing absolutely anything.

Converting the Elton John tune to a piece of reggae-lite it does veer way too close to Radio 2 territory. A bit Kate by numbers to be honest.

30. Love and Anger (6.91)

Now I can only think that this is so low because of the outstanding quality of the tracks above it. This is a tremendous song lifted from what I think is her most under-rated album, The Sensual World.

Next up is Kate's tale of an actor's guilt on taking a dead friend's place. With possibly the best head shot cover ever.

28. Lyra (7.27)

Absolutely gorgeous track from the Golden Compass soundtrack. I guess the days of Kate appearing on the singles charts are well behind her but I really wanted this to get into the Top 40. Some hope!

27. And So Is Love (7.55)

The final of the singles from The Red Shoes, this doesn't reach the heights of the best of that album but it's subdued feel probably reflects the feel of the lyrics.

It does suffer from the presence of another superstar guest - Eric Clapton - why does she feel it is necessary to have these people consistently muck up her songs?

I have it. I listened to it once. Only the singles stood out. I've always found her albums patchy apart from House of Love. Admittedly The Dreaming is pretty great too.

25. Them Heavy People (7.58)

A live version was released on the On Stage EP with the original on The Kick Inside.

All about her need to learn and keep on learning, this was revisted again by Kate later on, especially on Sat In Your Lap.

Kate's Christmas single. Nuff said.

23. Wild Man (7.73)

The only single from 50 Words For Snow, this took a while to grow on me (but that's nothing new - I didn't get into The Dreaming for years!) so I expect this to continue to do so for years.

23. Deeper Understanding (7.73)

And tying at #23 is this track from Director's Cut, redone from the original on The Sensual World. This didn't get anywhere near the chart despite an all star cast (creepy) video that manages to be Experiment IV Part II. Listening again, the wonky computer voice does not work at all.
