May 20, 201411 yr Author As soon as he was appointed the first thing I thought about was the possibility of Rooney going. RVP, Mata and Kagawa with of course Januzaj being an option would work well in a Van Gaal system, getting a Strooman type player and almost an entire new defence apart from Rafael (or maybe Evra as I hope he stays) is probably likely going to be the jist of the alterations this summer. Right now I think we'll be chasing 4th at best, I don't think some people realise exactly how bad our squad actually is! I would say 4th at best aswell. I think he is the right step, although he's a ticking timebomb. You can be certain that Woodward was insistent that Giggs was his assistant. When things get tough can you imagine him seeking advice off of Giggs? Nope. I think Man Utd will spend a fair amount, but spending a lot of money will not guarantee success as the other top clubs will also invest heavily. I think you'll probably finish above Everton and Spurs, but right now I can't see them breaking the top 4.
May 22, 201411 yr David Moyes is being intervestigated for an alleged assault on a man at a wine bar in Lancashire: Former Manchester United manager David Moyes is being investigated over claims he assaulted a man in a wine bar. The alleged incident between Moyes, 51, and a 23-year-old man is said to have happened in Clitheroe, Lancashire, at about 10pm on Wednesday. Moyes was having a drink with a friend in the Emporium wine bar when a "minor scuffle" allegedly took place, said Sky's Nick Martin. A spokesman for Lancashire Constabulary said: "Officers attended the bar at about 10pm yesterday and it was reported that a 23-year-old local man had been assaulted by a 51-year old man. "He did not require hospital treatment. "Inquiries are ongoing and we are speaking to a number of people to try to establish the circumstances. "There are a number of differing accounts which we need to work through to try to establish exactly what has happened. "No-one has been arrested at this stage." A spokesman for the Emporium said: "There was an incident outside the building. "However, it did not affect any of our customers or staff and has been dealt with by the police." Moyes was sacked from Old Trafford last month after a disastrous season. He has been linked to the vacant manager's chair at Celtic and an immediate return to Champions League football.
