That's the annoying thing, she'd easily be #1 if she released next week! :(

I don't think the song is deserving of number 1, number 2 would be great for a mediocre song imo. I mean I rather like it but it still hasn't clicked with me. I hope I prefer the next better!

I keep getting the 'well I don't know how you do it to me' part stuck in my head so I go to listen to the track, wishfully thinking everytime the sax won't sound as bad as the last time but it really is awful. Totally ruins the song for me.

Roll on the second single!

Is the sax/trumpet meant to sound slightly off tune/drunk?

Ooh I just realised there is a fake version of CSL in the top100 on iTunes ! :cheer:

Whatever happens in the end chart-wise, I'm really happy with how this song has done already. It's been so consistently high on pre-orders for 6 weeks now, so it's not about her fanbase, I think the song really appeals to a lot of people and that's what she needed to get back in the charts.

It makes me even more excited for single 2 and the album ! :kink:

Nice climb on both charts ! :cheer:

And right next to MAGIC! on iTunes at the mo !

With all of the headlines at the moment around Cheryl's surprise wedding I'm sure that'll help with airplay as every radio stating I tuned into yesterday they were all talking about her and then played the single.

The single is #48 on iTunes at the moment with the pre-order, so just behind MAGIC!

Shazam chart:

4 1 MAGIC! 3

RUDE

40 38 CHERYL COLE 2

CRAZY STUPID LOVE

I think it's quite impressive for it to be holding up as well as it is then, if barely anyone seems to be hearing it (unless they already know what it is and don't need to Shazam it)

Stuck on the B-List on Radio 1, and with MAGIC! climbing again a lot on iTunes, I think it's safe to say she'll have to settle with #2.

Anyway, has she planned no promo at all for next week? I'm gonna be very annoyed if she doesn't do a single performance during release week. It's time to decide whether she wants to be a popstar or not.

The next single will be a bigger deal. She'll have X Factor to send it straight to number 1, and I still think, even if this goes to number 2, which it probably will, it'll still sell over 100k, which is amazing.

I know, whatever position it gets in the end, it looks likely to have healthy sales and that's what matters. But still, I want her to do her best to promote it at least. Sometimes her lack of efforts to promote her music really annoys me.

Not to mention her label, they only needed to move the release one week forward and the single would be #1 right now.

#1 on iTunes Ireland :cheer:

I got the iTunes file and it makes me love the song even more

Yay Ireland! Hopefully she can achieve her 4th #1 single there.

Cheryl's Irish chart history:

2 - 3 Words

2 - Messy Little Raindrops

2 - A Million Lights

^ Unlucky.

7 - Heartbreaker

1 - Fight For This Love

7 - 3 Words

4 - Parachute

1 - Promise This

26 - The Flood

1 - Call My Name

16 - Under The Sun

Some of the Irish chart peaks for the Girls Aloud albums are painful, indeed. :snif:

6 - Sound Of The Underground

12 - What Will The Neighbours Say?

31 - Chemistry :(

9 - The Sound Of Girls Aloud - The Greatest Hits

25 - Tangled Up :(

7 - Out Of Control

17 - Ten

No Top 5 albums, while Cheryl has 3. :o

Funny to think Nadine's 'Insatiable' album out-peaked 'Chemistry' and 'Tangled Up'. (It reached #20).

I tried to do some calculations to predict pre order sales for rude and crazy stupid love. Rude has been above her in pre orders for 11 days now. I'd estimate around 26,000 to 28,000 pre orders for crazy stupid love and I'd also estimate around 20,000 pre orders for rude. So there's still a chance however if the last 11 days are anything to go by & if Cheryl doesn't promote at all, then rude will sell more during release week and end up at number one.

Anyone got any other predictions for crazy stupid love?

Crazy Stupid Love current itunes positions:

#1 Ireland

#23 Czech Republic

#29 Fiji

#34 United Kingdom

#38 Slovakia

#46 Australia

#46 New Zealand

#74 Netherlands

#131 Germany

#145 Switzerland

#169 Austria

#176 South Africa

#200 Lithuania

To be fair, it is annoying to see how little effort she puts behind the release of the single.

We found it silly to premiere and promote it two months early, but at least we thought she would have something big lined up for the release. It seems there won't be any promotion which is a shame. Why on Earth did they pick up a random week in the middle of the summer if there is nothing to back it up? Not to mention this was the ONE week to avoid considering how big MAGIC! is gonna be. :(
