Here are the comparaisons with CMN, that's particularly interesting since both the song and the video for both songs were released the exact same number of weeks before their respective release.

The song has been hanging between #40 and #80 on iTunes with pre-orders and it's now below #80 for the first time. Now she needs to get airplay.

It's been below #80 before, remember a couple of days after its radio premiere it dipped out of the Top 100/200 for 3 or 4 days, before the BGT performance. It's been Top 100 ever since then though!

 

Hopefully the radio airplay picks up asap. Reassuring first two weeks on TV!

I can't see them not doing.

They seem cool with her to me. 'Under The Sun' only reaching the B-list was iffy. And being honest I can't see them thinking this is very "credible".

I can understand why she wouldn't be "cool" enough since she's not a fresh newcomer, but at the same time she's not old like Madonna/Kylie (no disrespect to them, I love them, I'm just pointing out that Radio 1 rarely playlists old-ish acts) and she's still incredibly popular even mong the young audience.

I was watching the interviews backstage at the Summertime Ball and I found funny that the very young boy bands like The Vamps, Rixton and Union J would all talk about Cheryl at some point in the interview :lol: She's 10 years older than most of them but yet she still appeals a lot to the very young generation.

 

It would be silly of them to snub her because of the "credible" factor. Plus I guess the Tinie Tempah feature could push the song aswell.

She's fine for a Radio 1 playlist slot. Her and Grimmy seem to be friends and in terms of pop acts, he's the deciding DJ nowadays for their playlisting. When does streaming come into effect on the Official Chart? Not that Vevo counts, but with this #1 there already, I see no reason why this won't be an official #1 now.

Fantastic news! Hopefully the pre-order will continue to rise, and hopefully spend a little while in the top 40 on iTunes prior to release.

Due to 18 5SOS songs invading the top100, CSL has fallen off the top100. :(

Quite a tumble on TV but both airplay and TV are doing quite as well as CMN did so far.

It's all about the next 4 weeks now!

As much as the song never really clicked with me, I really hope she can maintain the string of #1 lead singles! Rude - Magic is coming for her on pre-orders, and even though I prefer the song, I am still backing Chezza! Does she have anymore big performances?

Rude is going to be huge but I think she might have a shot at number 1 the 1st week. She has held off competition from Rihanna's Only Girl in the past, so I'm quite hopeful she can make it.

Plus I think the song is really popular, I would have never expected it to be so high on pre-orders for a whole month, I mean it's not just her fanbase, casual people have been pre-ordering it every day which is quite a surprise. And it seems the airplay is going to be good too.

 

I guess we'll have more info about promotion soon, but unfortunately I'm not quite sure what big promotion she can get in the middle of July. :(

I don't think there'll be any issue with Cheryl beating MAGIC!, she's done way better than them on pre-orders and is still a fair way ahead now.
