Posted April 22, 201411 yr So I just finished reading the book and I found out there's no thread for this yet I'm so excited for this movie, as I loved the previous 2. Not too happy this is being split in 2 halves, which seems to be a trend right now :drama: Jlaw better grow her hair back as I can't deal with a Miley Cyrus looking mockingjay President Snow's Panem Address #1 - "Together as One 7dCB2U9lX48 President Snow's Adress to Panem #2 - "Unity" k4e-qJdEAXo Capitol's Propaganda Posters ymgWuXPobgQ Edited July 9, 201410 yr by *Tim
April 23, 201411 yr I did not read any of the books but I really loved the first two movies. I've heard that Mockingjay diverts significantly from the Hunger Games structure and that there aren't any "games" this time around, which I am not sure if I am going to enjoy that.
April 23, 201411 yr I think I was in the minority for the last film as I was disappointed that they did the whole Hunger Games thing again. It just felt a bit like a repetition of the first film and I was more interested in what was going on regarding the rebellions/revolution and how the Capitol were trying to stop them. This was without reading the books btw.
April 23, 201411 yr Author Reading the book has for me really made the movie more enjoyable as there were certain parts I for some reason didn't get or didn't see. Don't get me wrong it's a great movie but the romance of Katniss and Peeta in the 2nd book isn't portrayed as good as it should've been in the movie, hopefully the 3rd and 4th will not disappoint as I loved the book Edited April 23, 201411 yr by BarbaricSissyTIM
April 23, 201411 yr Really looking forward to this, I'm glad they are steering away from the games this time, it wouldn't have worked them being in it for a 3rd time and I think the 3rd book is really great, not too sure if it needed to be split in two but I'm sure both will still be great.
April 23, 201411 yr I made the mistake of watching the first 2 films first. I then read the books and re-watched the films  then I read Mockingjay and I am so excited!

I made the exact same mistake. Some parts are so confusing to me. This may or may not have been because I didn't have any subtitles tho
April 23, 201411 yr I'm really interested in how and where they're going to split it. I think there is loads to put in the second movie but I'm not so sure about the first. (Not that I care about them dragging it out, I enjoy getting to savor it for longer) I finished the book at the end of last year and it's heartbreaking but I was glad that Peeta & Katniss ended up together eventually. :(
April 23, 201411 yr Can't wait for this! I actually loved it as an end to the trilogy, despite it moving away from the games, there's so much action that there's no surprise I'd definitely recommend reading the books first though, I watched both films with at least one person who hadn't and they were constantly asking stuff, one of my friends is a major Hunger Games fangirl even more than me though

My friend and I actually had a bet on it, I went for Peeta and she for Gale. Thank god Peeta gets the girl, I can't stand Gale  SPOILER I felt so bad when Prim died, I really did not want that to happen... I think they are going to cut the movie at the points where Katniss gets shot in the mountain of district 2, when Peeta chokes Katniss, to make it a cliffhanger, or somewhere around Katniss moving to the Capitol Edited April 23, 201411 yr by BarbaricSissyTIM

Disappointed about no Hunger Games in the THIRD book?! HOW would you even explain Katniss being in Hunger Games #76?! I MEAN COME AWN. And there's no 'Hunger Games' structure to divert from. The first book was mostly about the Games but the second book's Games were definitely not the focus point of the thing. I think I was in the minority for the last film as I was disappointed that they did the whole Hunger Games thing again. This was without reading the books btw. READ THE DAMN BOOKS ALREADY YOU FOOLS. They explain everything so well. Do you think revolution would just suddenly start after Katniss decided to eat the berries in the arena?! Like BAM! and everyone joins rebellion the next day. Not really how the real world works. There's more than enough action in the third book without the games. bye

July 9, 201410 yr I just can't at Johanna  I love how they included the part in the book when Beetee manages to hack Capitol TV! :D
July 9, 201410 yr Author Well of course they did, that;s the whole point of the first parts of the book

July 28, 201410 yr Author My hype level is reaching scary heights and the movie is nearly 4 months away 😣
