Iggy Azalea Set for Billboard 200's Highest Debut Next Week

"Iggy Azalea's debut album, "The New Classic," is set to make the highest debut on next week's Billboard 200 chart -- so say industry forecasters. Sources suggest the album, released on Def Jam Records, could sell between 50,000 and 55,000 copies in the week ending Sunday, April 27.

 

Meanwhile, the soundtrack to Disney's "Frozen" should remain at No. 1 for a 12th nonconsecutive week on the Billboard 200.

 

The second-biggest debut on next week's chart will perhaps be Future's second album, "Honest," with around 45,000 to 50,000."

Sales are so low that Pharrell is propelled back into the Top 5.

 

 

The sales for Iggy are really strange considering she did absolutely NOTHING until 'Fancy' but she has been around a lot on the internet so I'm willing to believe she'll be somewhat frontloaded, kinda like Lana Del Rey was with Born To Die (initially). Still hoping she'll be a one-hit wonder...

I'm not sure she would have sold as much if it wasn't for "Fancy" and accompanying video.

Considering Ariana Grande is so famous in the US, I can see it becoming quite a big hit. Great first week sales for Iggy! Was hoping she would be top 50 at least :cheer:
