Anyone here like The Man In Black? Ring Of Fire, A Boy Named Sue, One Piece At A Time.

I love this guy's music and have a GH collection but recently bought the double CD package of the two prison concerts, At Folsom and At San Quentin. The latter is slightly better but a great package and more tracks than on the original vinyl releases as those had space constraints. The banter between him and his prisoner audience is great. Well worth buying even if you're not a huge country music fan.

Interesting little story. Just after he'd died, the makers of pile-cream Anusol wanted to use Ring Of Fire in a series of ads screened worldwide (think about it!). However Cash's family refused permission to license the song as they say it would demean it.

Yes in my chart as I type, hit my number 1 in 1972, and peaked creatively again just before he died. My mum loves Johnny Cash and bought the San Quentin album 45 years ago so I got to hear it as a kid...
