May 13, 201411 yr That's very unlikely, that Jason Orange is not making enough to pay taxes. Not everyone is going to have their money 'invested' offshore. It might well be that Jason was cautious enough or had the advice to keep his money in his own control. As I understand it Jason doesn't use the same accountants as the rest of them (good job too). Isn't his brother Simon his accountant? That would explain why he wasn't involved. His brother probably told him not to touch it with a barge-pole.

He always comes across as very spiritual too (as well as drop-dead gorgeous). You're right too - his brother is in accounting/investments. Edited May 13, 201411 yr by Kath

Well, I wasn't going to comment on his looks, but now you mention it Kath yes, he is drop dead gorgeous when he scrubs up. I wouldn't say no! I do wonder if he probably pointed out that it wasn't the wisest of investments and no-one listened. I get the feeling sometimes they don't listen to him when he says things, poor bloke. Just the way he was spoken to in that Look Back, Don't stare film. Maybe they'd be best to run more past him in the future. ;) Edited May 13, 201411 yr by Mybelle
May 13, 201411 yr I dont think the others use Jason's brother as an accountant as something happened when they were originally together. The press do seem to be letting Gary go lightly on all of this which does limit the damage to his career, the forum here seems more heavy handed. I am not disagreeing with any of the people that are disgusted with Gary. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. I am not saying what he has done is right but everyone has the right to be seen as innocent until proved otherwise. What if this is not down to Gary and instead is down to been misinformed? There appears to be some people here that just want Gary to fall flat and are hoping this whole thing or anything else bad is fully true. I hear people screaming the opposite, if he is guilty what do I think then. The honest answer from me is I am not bothered and certainly not as bothered as people here are about the tax invasion.
May 13, 201411 yr I think that's the expression you used on several people who disagreed with you. I remember you being particularly disgusting with Iris here a few years back. No wonder you love Barlow so much - you're equally as disgusting. Oh a funny before I go - but I may actually come back - your ludicrousness actually has me -   Besides - if it annoys you even in the least - it makes me happy! David Cameron has been taken to hospital with a severe case of piles - sorry - false alarm - it was Gary Barlow's nose up his arse! Kath. Grow up and go away.

Well said Pippa.
May 13, 201411 yr he did charity work he gets slated so if your gonna get slated he may as well provide a good reason for doing so. Rule the eorld, let me go, face to face, never forget and many others are still fantastic songs.
May 14, 201411 yr Wonderful songs that I enjoy is why i like Gary and the other members of Take That. Let the rest take care of itself.
May 15, 201411 yr Hey fans - watch Question Time right now - they're talking about Gary! Oh .... they've moved onto someone / something more interesting! Scottish independence, Free Schools, etc. Edited May 15, 201411 yr by Kath
May 16, 201411 yr Interesting what Nigel Martin Smith has to say http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/showbiz/nigel...-tax-avoidance/ If this is the case why on earth hasn't Gary just said he's paid this off straight away? I think their current manager is to blame mainly possibly as well as themselves. I mean Nigel clearly must have looked out for them when he was manager. I think when they came back Mark and Jonathan have had a lot of power over the group hence the many Mark leads and The Circus being Mark heavy. Edited May 16, 201411 yr by nirvanamusic

I'm not sure about that as I believe they are still contesting it. If he has - then fair dos - he's done the right thing. Having said that - as the four lads are supposed to be so close - you'd think that they'd have been talking to each other - and should possibly have taken heed of Jason's lead. I remember reading an interview with Gary a few years back and he harped on about how they were listening to Jason and his conscience - and that Jason had actually got them all to bank with the Co-Op (Jason still does I'm led to believe). Mind you - from that documentary a year or so back (Look Back Don't Stare) Jason did seem to be getting squeezed out. Who knows - maybe the next Take That Tour could be just three.
May 18, 201411 yr Hey fans - watch Question Time right now - they're talking about Gary! Oh .... they've moved onto someone / something more interesting! Scottish independence, Free Schools, etc. Hey non fans, the real fans really donot care too much. We let the rest do the talking and the others do the slating. I think it is wonderful howmuch attention this news has brought and it is bumping up sales for Gary as a solo artist and Take That as a band. Job well done it appears.
May 18, 201411 yr Author Hey non fans, the real fans really donot care too much. We let the rest do the talking and the others do the slating. I think it is wonderful howmuch attention this news has brought and it is bumping up sales for Gary as a solo artist and Take That as a band. Job well done it appears. I don't think there is any evidence at all that this terrible publicity is boosting sales. His reputation has been seriously damaged. It will be harder to expect the BBC to treat him like a national treasure and give him elevated promotion. It has also opened up a new chapter where it is okay again for the media to attack Gary Barlow. If he does get on TV to promote Take That with the other offenders, they face questions or jokes about their tax dodging, and that is taking away the message about a new record. He dare not show his face again asking members of the public to give to charity. A lot of people will have lost a lot of respect for Gary Barlow in particular. I believe that will all have a damaging impact on sales. As a Gary Barlow fan, I am very disappointed. And although I like his music, if he thinks he can ride this out without addressing the issue, I think he will ultimately pay the price.

I seriously doubt that there will be much of a detrimental effect on the sales of Take That's next album. They'll sell in much the same numbers as their last few albums did. Take That's reputation won't be damaged at all - the hard core fans will ensure that their albums sell well and concerts sell out (I don't think the fans care about Take That's reputation anyway). I am hoping though that even Barlow would not have the brass-balls to ever do any of his televised chugging again - and that is GREAT news - he'll have cut off the lucrative free publicity he gets.

Ugh, this is probably the most disgusting post on the entire forum  How can you find it "wonderful" considering he has robbed the country? What next? He'll kill a child and you'll find it "amazing" because he will be in the papers even more? Some people really do have no morals at all. Sad. :(

Unfortunately you and I (and Iris - if Jay hadn't driven her away from this forum) will be the only ones with any scruples (and given Barlow's recent solo efforts) music taste. As you can see - if you don't bow down and touch your forelock in submission to Barlow - you'll find you're not welcome here. I only come in now and again to pee Jay off!
