August 7, 201410 yr I found SUCH a good flight (time-wise it was perfect and the cheapest there is) but since I might not even go, I had to ignore it
September 9, 201410 yr Hmm not totally sure on either point (the people that have gone before should know) but the only time I've seriously considered going so far, when Germany were hosting, tickets weren't all gone within a couple of hours of the on-sale date that's for sure, even for the final. - Bosnia are returning! :cheer:
September 9, 201410 yr Excellent news, I haven't been the most appreciative of their track record but a few of their songs have grown on me in their absence so I've been pining for another Lejla or Korake Ti Znam. Take notes, Croatia & Serbia (and Bulgaria).
September 9, 201410 yr Author Great news but I won't get too excited yet as they confirmed last year and then ended up not returning after all. But I do expect a few of the former Yugoslavian countries to return this year so I think it's more likely to happen this time.
September 9, 201410 yr I would be surprised if they did pull out again. They clearly want to return so it was just unfortunate circumstances that prevented them from having the money last time.
September 9, 201410 yr The Balkan floods last year were all that stopped Bosnia returning, so I can't see them not coming back now...
September 9, 201410 yr I'm ready for a balkan comeback in 2015 (quality depending, More Lejla less Korake Ti Znam).
September 11, 201410 yr "Building Bridges" is the official slogan for the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, ORF, the Host Broadcaster revealed tonight. There were hundreds of proposals to ORF for the slogan, both internally and externally. In the end, it was "Building Bridges" that was picked to be the most suitable one for the next contest by the organisers. It was the creative agency PKP BBDO who was behind the concept that will connect the variety of ingredients of the upcoming event. In the next weeks, the concept will be visualised from the logo to the on-screen graphics. Dr. Alexander Wrabetz, the Director General of ORF: "After the decision for Vienna as the host city and the nomination of the complete core team, we have set another important milestone on the way of organising the world’s largest TV entertainment event by choosing the slogan. With "Building Bridges" we have chosen a theme, the idea of Europe with the uniting character of music and that in Vienna, the traditional capital of world music in the heart of Europe." http://www.eurovision.tv/page/news?id=vien...slogan_revealed Hmm. Don't like it as much as slogans used in recent years but what big a deal is a slogan anyway.
September 11, 201410 yr I don't mind that too much. Seems like marginally more thought went into it than 'Join Us'
September 11, 201410 yr I think the only year the slogan ever felt like it MEANT something was 2010's 'Share The Moment' And that was 99% down to the existence of this video qtEmRWFL_1s
September 15, 201410 yr Author Israel have confirmed which may surprise a few of us, time will tell if they end up withdrawing later but at least they've confirmed for now!
September 15, 201410 yr Author Serbia have also confirmed so that 3 returns officially confirmed, hopefully Bulgaria and Croatia do the same - I expect Bulgaria to do so but not so much Croatia.
September 15, 201410 yr Wiki has Bulgaria as returning (through 'wiwibloggs')! Which is great news if true. Today's the deadline, right? So we should see a (preliminary at least) decision from Croatia very soon.
September 15, 201410 yr Author Wiki has Bulgaria as returning (through 'wiwibloggs')! Which is great news if true. Today's the deadline, right? So we should see a (preliminary at least) decision from Croatia very soon. Yeah I believe so, and then if they apply then they have until mid-October to opt out with no penalty (which apparently Serbia might do due to no money but we'll see). But they may choose to opt out this time? Slovenia always seem to confirm as late as possible, I remember last year they were the last country to confirm (and got an extra week extension especially if I remember rightly!)
September 15, 201410 yr UKRAINE are actually my big worry at this stage (along with Croatia but they haven't been on form since OH TEN and I'm not putting the family farm on their return)
