OT: it HORRIFIES me that the vast majority of entrants are younger than me now

Current YouTube figures for the 10 qualifiers' performances from each semi from the official Eurovision account. Of course Semi 1 has had an extra 2 days to generate views but it's quite clear.

Surprised Sweden is lagging quite a bit behind Azerbaijan, their perf wasn't exactly a talking point like Måns'.

Overnight ratings in the UK were 790k for Semi 1 and 620k for Semi 2. People on DS are saying that the Semi 1 figure is possibly the most watched semi-final ever, or at least on par with the Jedward semi-finals which seem to have been the previously most watched semis.

1 million Norwegians watched the semi final 2, which is the most since 2009.

Semi final in 2009 was watched by 1,2 million while the final was watched by 2 million.

50k - 68k Czechs watched Semi 1

104k - 144k Czechs watched Semi 2

v popular :')

Just to share with you all, I was at jury final last night.

Great show, ran smoothly and no vocal mess ups from anyone. In summary: despite the lack of representation, Serbia would've won the whole bloody thing if this was based on crowd reaction. It was sensational! Latvia - absolutely nailed it and this may surprise us all, despite other peoples views, I knew this would sail into the final and a top ten finish tonight won't be a shock. Sweden and Russia were on point, plus also a very strong reaction for Italy. Russia went down a storm, I could hear tones of booing but NOTHING compared to last year.

On the flip side, Electro Velvet did well and it was visually pretty good. It did become apparent last night how bad a song it really is, it's so limp and the fact it didn't receive a strong response (despite the ever reliable amount of Brits there). If this gets out of the bottom three, I will be genuinely surprised.

My final prediction for Saturday:

1 Sweden

2 Russia

3 Belgium

1 million Norwegians watched the semi final 2, which is the most since 2009.

Semi final in 2009 was watched by 1,2 million while the final was watched by 2 million.

How many watched in 2010? Did they not care as much for their actual hosting? :heehee:
