Lorde back at #1 woop. Was beginning to worry she wasn't going to get back there after her single version deletion (I still don't understand why they do that in the USA).

Because they want you to buy the album.

There's more chance of you listening to the other album tracks.

Plus in Lorde's case, if you look at the frontpage of US iTunes, her album now has a thumbnail ad right under top singles.

Looks like Britney's getting no higher than #11 :( Oh well, perhaps the song was always a bit too ridiculous to smash.
It's really slow though, and there's a whole 4% in the difference. Needs promo or super shady payola.
:cheer: Didn't want to get too optimistic but I'm glad it's top 10  Think it will get as high as #6!

Her star power has been fading for some time now, it's no surprise.

It's #7 now. Poor dat. :yahoo:

And speak for your own country. Britney is still massive in America. And one single underperforming is not an indication of her star power fading for years.

Her last new album's first single (2011) went to #1!

Not to mention it was her first album in the US to have three top ten hits.

WB, has underperformed thus far. But it has not even been in the charts for three weeks. You can't really base a singles success until all is said and done. WB is not an instant pop anthem like the singles off her last two albums, it's a risky single. And I love that she has taken control of this era and taking chances.

ALSO. The Fox Song is a disgrace to music.

People call me deluded.

How has she taken control exactly and in what world is this song a risk? Her team chose it because it was by Will.i.Am and was like a Scream & Shout P II.

A pop star scraping #7 with songs DESIGNED for mass sales is not good.
