You are on about talent, when you have Britney in your sig? lol irony.

Aahahahaha I didn't notice that irony LOL!

It just makes me laugh how GaGa is so deluded on every release she just assumes she will smash.

Shes said things like:

'1million monsters lets crash iTunes'

It's just ridiculous and I'm not a troll I just think the song is total crap and the only people that buy into it are gays and fans.

OMG you are worse than me and Pink - did you come back on the forum just to rant ridiculous shat about GaGa?

Well, the majority of buyers of most songs from big artists (ESPECIALLY Britney Spears who is kept up in America by a fan base rather than widely popular music) are fans. Also, I doubt massive groups of hetero males falling over themselves to buy Britney either!!

Also, what does it matter who buys it? :/

Also, GaGA writes her own music, music for others, helps produce, direct, with the art work, visuals ... What do your faves do that's so much more talented? Oh, she actually CAN sing too.

And FINALLY KAty Perry will sell 500 000+, so give it time to rise. And even if it doesn't, I love the song, it's the ebst song of the year, amazing and I'll like it regardless, dodgy release and all.

Hey, let's not bring Britney into this. I'm still sore over 'Ooh La La'.

Like a fiiine wine, it takes tiiime to appreciate allll this :P

So what do we think, is GaGa ACTUALLY gonna do it?? :o

Katy is still extending her lead over Robin at a fairly solid rate, I think she could get him down to 30% or so assuming Gaga doesn't overtake before that. Gaga however is gaining rather fast, so I think she'll get the #1 by midnight. I think it's time for Katy to start using her price reduction powers again!

LOL is that how she secured no1 before?

I love Katy and wish they were releasing different weeks, but as they're not ... my loyalty is with GaGa and the better song.

Edited by Michael!

I'm surprised she's not already thrown out a remix!

It would be amazing for Katy to hold Gaga off the top spot consodering she's been out for a few days now ! :cheer:

Anyway, I don't get why Gaga felt the urge to release it straight after the leak, she could have waited until the new week kicks in (ie what Katy did), it's like she was annoyed by Katy domination and wanted to stop it  Sometimes the pop scene does look like a playground.

That's what it looked like to me too

Not really. It makes perfect business sense to get it released to take full advantage of the fact that, at that point, the Internet was going nuts for it. If she'd waited, the hype would have eased off and it would probably cost her quite a few sales. I think she did the right thing. Maybe she didn't want her fans listening to a shitty quality rip when there is a considerable difference in how the song sounds when you hear it in HQ.

Cue Katy reducing Roar's price and releasing 'Roar Remix (feat. Robin Thicke & Pharrell)' in an attempt to steal Gaga's thunder.

Applause in red on Kworb, falling in it's latest update - not updating too rapidly on Katy then.

Those first updates don't really mean anything i don't think because it was red when i checked earlier but in the next proper update it was back to dark green. DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THIS OK.

Oh yeah, now it's Katy trying to steal Gaga's thunder... Yeah, sure...

I love that Gaga's fans went mad when Katy announced the release date of her album just after Gaga, but now they see nothing wrong with Gaga rush-releasing her song when Katy has just got to number 1. ^_^

As much as you want it to be,the rush release had nothing to do with Katy.

On another note Applause is doing superb as expected, but I think #1 on the Hot 100 is a bit out of reach this week,it should debut at #3!!!!

I'm not sure what's goiung with it on streaming? Surely it's #1 there????
