New concept? Coming from the girlband who always use This Morning as promo, I don't think they'll ever change how they end a video  And agreed with overusing Rochelle!

This Morning has the highest ratings on ITV for daytime shows - it's far more effective than Loose Women etc.

Gets a bit repetitive after a while though!

would you prefer they were on 'Good Morning Britain' with their 5 viewers then?
I just hope that when it does come time for TV promo they actually sing. None of this Frankie/Mollie miming, Una's mic being as low as possible and very loud backing track for Rochelle/Vanessa. Not particularly a great example for people interested in seeing them on tour.

What I'm scared is that we all get so excited over the release and when it comes to it's final week before release, the airplay has flopped and the girls can't do anything about it

Promotion is always limited in August.

I'm expecting them to perform on the Alan Carr summer special in July and hopefully they manage to get another slot on another talk show.

I really think they should be doing a radio tour - I remember how many times they were on the radios during the What About Us promotion - it was fantastic!

They can't help if radios don't want them on their shows or would prefer another act instead of them the day their girls are trying to book.

I genuinely think their management do their best to get them promo (both on TV, radios and outside the music world)...it's just shitty, but at least they try.

I'm ready to be proven wrong and see them landing an amazing promo plan though because I secretly wish they do. :(

The living for the weekend promotion was actually rather impressive!
Hurricane do you actually want the girls to succeed? You always say your being realistic but tbh all I've read in this thread is you being very pessimistic and then saying your being realistic.

Agreed and they need a good dance number - Not Giving Up was dreadful!

More or less. It was rather a promo for 'Disco Love' wasn't it? I mean, obviously Disco Love was the single selling Living For The Weekend, but I think they only mentionned once or twice they had an album out before/after performing (was the name of the album ever mentionned, actually?) during the promo of Disco Love. In that way, it kinda felt like promo campaign for either a pre or post album singles instead of the one actually leading the album. You know "the album has already sold quite well, there's no need to really plug it everywhere now" or "the album isn't out until 5 months, so no need to plug it that much as for now" kinda of mentality? Ya feel me?

But yeah, they were on a lot of TV-shows throughout September/October, pretty much everything they could book at that time that wasn't X-Factor with their current profile as a musical act.

If you want my opinion, I would rather they get radios on board than doing lots and lots and lots of performances. If the track ends up sounding like I think it will, I think it won't translate that well live on a really small stage (similar to All Fired Up, you know?). So I woud much prefer if the track could snatch a top 10 on radios. That would be nice.

Is this even serious? I've shown my support for these girls many times and will keep on supporting them by buying pretty much everything they release. Please, I'm a stan. Still, I'm not happy with how things are going and therefore will express my feelings just like you guys do. ;)

You seem to forget I was one of the few who thought 'Not Giving Up' had a chance of being top 10! I've been optimistic a few times, but ironically, I've been more right being pessimistic.

I'm talking about this particular thread. You have been nothing but negative since day 1 and whenever someone has something good to say, you come back with something that sounds condescending!! Yeah you bigged up NGU but I also remember when I heard Disco Love straight away I said it was gonna be a top 5 hit and you just rubbished what I said. I'm not being funny but whether we have different opinions or not, you don't have to automatically make out what other people say is wrong. You do it all the time and I'm not here for that!

RANT over!

Although I do have my worries, I can't see this becoming much of a flop. The hype is still there, maybe not as much as there was when this was all announced but they will do well regardless of Radio 1 support. It sounds like it's gonna be a dance song and we all know how much Capital love them :P

Capital don't love them that much.

It's hard to be positive and hope for the best with The Saturdays sometimes. I was SO positive with Not Giving Up, until airplay bombed, finding out they'd not made the Radio 1 playlist was such a disappointing day, things are certainly unclear for the girls, BUT The Saturdays are VERY unpredictable, and you never know when they can turn it around, so I'm not writing them off just yet - keeping my fingers crossed for now and remaining excited. It'll be a glorious day if they can even make the R1 C list.

Yeah but surely you can't write them off when nothing good has been started for this single yet?

I feel a flow of jealousy, I am right?

I'd be fine with a bit of a break from Rochelle. They've been overusing her lately.

!!!! :

Huh? Rochelle was only solely prominent on 30 Days and What About Us.

Rochelle doesn't even sing much on their other singles, it's more Una and Vanessa. Rochelle has a lot to catch up, she's not going to sing as much as Una and Vanessa on their hits tour believe me.

Capital don't love them that much.

They are unpredictable but I knew that NGU wasn't gonna do well as they were on loose strings with radio one which meant their airplay and potential impact wasn't going to be as we wanted. Capital do like them otherwise they wouldn't playlist their songs. It's just that they didn't like NGU.
