I notice the streaming #50 has the equivalent of ~2.5k sales - that would represent about a 50% increase in sales at that level. For a #1, I suspect the average increase would be more like 10-15%, but at the bottom end of the charts, the increase might even be close to 100% above current levels!

The UK’s most-streamed songs and acts of all time have been announced today (Monday, June 23), as the Official Charts Company confirms that on-demand audio streams will be counted towards the Official Singles Chart for the first time from next month (July). The data collected by the Official Charts Company reveals that Pompeii by Bastille is the most-streamed track of all time in the UK, racking up 26.6million streams over the past two years. It tops the all-time countdown ahead of Daft Punk’s Get Lucky (on 24.5m streams), with Passenger’s Let Her Go in third place with 21.7m streams generated in the UK to date. “The fact Pompeii has had over 26 million streams is amazing," said Bastille frontman Dan Smith. “We’re really, really happy. “When we made Pompeii we never even saw ourselves as a band that would be even remotely mainstream or anything like that. I notice the streaming #50 has the equivalent of ~2.5k sales - that would represent about a 50% increase in sales at that level. For a #1, I suspect the average increase would be more like 10-15%, but at the bottom end of the charts, the increase might even be close to 100% above current levels! Interesting. That's definitely going to make it harder for fanbase acts to sneak into the top 40. I guess this is part of the reason for the Breakers Chart they are going to do.
