So my new obsession is this trippy, dream-pop infused rapper from the US. She takes about 5 different guises and constantly changes her artist name :unsure: so we'll just go with Kitty Pryde for now~

 

•.¸.•SECOND♥LIFE•.¸.• is one of the funnest, most beautiful songs i've heard recently as is ♥ ♥ 285 ♥ ♥. Thankfully it's not all style over substance because away from the gimmicks and fancy song titles there is a lot of goodness. Plenty of EPs and older tracks i need to get through too.

I discovered Kitty through a thread on ATRL I think a few weeks ago which was about her latest single which you can listen to below. It is from her new 'Impatiens' EP.

 

 

When I heard the song above, I definitely heard potential so I decided to check out a few of her other tracks on Soundcloud which is when I found 'Second Life' which is just incredible. Completely different to the genre of music I usually like, but it's just so good!

STILL obsessed with 285 but not listened to second life yet oop. might be onto a winner ryan~

I'm just so pleased it has made it to the final as I had no idea how much a song like this would appeal to people, but it seems that quite a few people are liking it anyway so I'm very pleased! :D

So weird... it's kind of reminding me of stuff from PC Music but I like what I'm hearing. 'Orion's Belt' is pretty good (and funny).

I found a Kitty Pryde remix of Marina's 'How To Be A Heartbreaker' the other day. I can't say that it's particularly my thing, but someone else might like it so here it is:

Just listened to this EP and it's... interesting. Not enjoying it anywhere close to the two tracks i mentioned earlier but it's nice enough i'll be listening to it again to see if anything grows.

Yeah 'Second Life' is supposed to be from her upcoming album so hopefully the album will be more in that style!
