Yes, she has an amazing voice. I have 3 of her albums, my favourite being Live At Blues Alley. R.I.P. :(

She was the greatest female voice of the 1990s in my opinion.

But tragically music was not about having the greatest voice at the time, because that is why both two of the biggest hitters in A&R David Foster (who was tipped off about her by his former folk-singing wife Linda Thompson) who "discovered" Whitney Houston, Celine Dion & the Corrs & Tommy Mottola who "discovered" Hall & Oates, Jennifer Lopez & Mariah Carey (whom he was married to) both saw Eva Cassidy perform whilst she was alive, yet incredibly neither thought she was good enough to sign.

To quote former Rolling Stone music critic Greil Marcus "Cassidy did not write many original songs. Her talent lay in interpretation, in a mastery of emotional redefinition of a song and in finding her path to the heart of the song often missing from its original recording. Something that is totally beyond the vocal histrionics of 1990s divas of Whitney, Mariah & Celine...... Eva possesses a soulful voice, an extraordinary range, and a diverse repertoire of jazz, blues, folk, gospel and pop which makes her impossible to pigeon-hole & an A&R man's nightmare to sell."

Eva Cassidy - Fields of Gold - one of the msot beautiful renditions ever. I love her Somewhere Over The Rainbow cover too. I would have loved to have seen her live.
Yes she has a beautiful voice, so tragic she was taken so soon.
I like her song that was a Cyndi Lauper cover... i can't remember what it was called... does anyone know :(?
