Posted June 27, 201411 yr http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/f2/Robin_Thicke_Paula.jpg Robin Thicke releases his seventh album Paula next week, which leads to the possibility that people might actually buy it. (I remain unconvinced~) No hit single this time, just an entire tracklist dedicated to his estranged wife. The facts: -Blurred Lines debuted at #1 with 177,000 copies sold in its first week. To date it has sold 736,000 copies. -His album before that, Love After War, sold 41,000 in its first week, typically good for top ten but it charted at #22 due to its December release date. -Lead single 'Get Her Back' has minimal airplay and remains overshadowed by 'Blurred Lines' and '4 The Rest Of My Life' in terms of audience impressions. Other July 1st releases: SEETHER ISOLATE & MEDICATE TREY SONGZ TRIGGA BOB MARLEY & THE WAILERS LEGEND: 30TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION BON JOVI NEW JERSEY: 25TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION MAGIC! DON'T KILL THE MAGIC Predict Paula's: 1) Opening chart position 2) First-week sales 3) Second-week chart position
June 27, 201411 yr Oh God  'Get Her Back' is at the very least not completely dead, it's #222 on iTunes right now. And the pre-order is a somewhat impressive #78! I think the album is not going to perform as embarrassingly as we might expect. I'll expect a disappointingly successful début in the top 10 (#9 perhaps), with about 35k sales (much like J.Lo). Drop to #50 next week and out of the chart in a month.
June 27, 201411 yr Author Yeah I expect it'll be top 10 :P I'll say #6 on 45K sales, then #21 the week after.
June 27, 201411 yr I really really really want it to crash in at like #120 though :( I have faith the UK will be more heartless with him.
June 28, 201411 yr Number 9 with a 20k sales on opening week. Number 92 the following week with a massive 80% decline. Riser - Those pizza photos look delicious!!! I'm hungry now. Edited June 28, 201411 yr by buzz_person
