Does anyone know if OCC (or another entity) is going to release the number of streams a song has had each week, following the first chart to include streams is to be published this Sunday? I would like to know the 'what-if' chart positions had the streams not been counted :D

OCC has said that today's sales flash has Waves taking 17% of its sales as streams, which I estimate Waves has sold around 4,000 the last 48 hours, and around 1/5 of 4,000 is 200. If Waves stays at its position all week it would probably sell around 15,000 by Sunday, making about 3,000 of those sales streams. If we take away the 3,000, Waves would probably end up at 13 or so, based on average sales to position.

I believe the OCC will release a sales-only chart, so you'll be able to know where songs would've charted without the effect of streaming.

Music Week will probably release some streaming figures in their sales report

Err... try 800. :teresa:

In any case, 17% is closer to 1/6th, than 1/5th.

Haha, of course it is. I should go back to school :w00t:

Not that it matters I chose to divide by 5, because it could change significantly until Sunday. Remember Calling All Hearts was 2, 4 and 6 and The Drop was 5, 10 and 20...

Will they still be doing the Streaming Chart?

And will the sales and 'streamed sales' be counted towards copies sold, even though some aren't sold? Will this mess up million sellers, fastest sellers etc.?

Yes, there will still be a streaming chart.

The OCC have said streams will contribute towards silver discs etc. but they have not said whether they will also be used to determine million sellers.

They better not count it to million sellers or fastest sellers, that would defeat the purpose!

Omg they cannot include it in the silver/gold/platinum certifications >:(

Completely defeats the purpose and sort of takes away the achievement of singles having achieved those feats on sales alone.

Is there a source to confirm a sales only chart? Is it still possible to get the actual sales for the top 10 in the existing thread, or will they include streams?

Could someone link to where the stream counts are/will be?
