September 7, 200618 yr Author I think Rooney showed in his only game this season why he still by far and away our best striker. Well I still belive he is England's best striker as he offers a lot and is a great player, I know this won't happen but if Owen were fit and bale to play in the next euro qualifying stages McLaren would be mad to leave him out as he's in brillaint form for England at the moment. ^_^
September 7, 200618 yr his goal scoring record is brilliant for England. ^_^ Look who they've been against: Jamaica Urugauy Andorra Maedonia Trinidad & Tbago Greece STUNNING.
September 7, 200618 yr Author Look who they've been against: Jamaica Urugauy Andorra Maedonia Trinidad & Tbago Greece STUNNING. Doesn't matter about the opposition though TBH, I mean all of those teams are no Argentina, Brazil or France but he's still scored a great amount of goals and his movement around the box is excellent. ^_^
September 7, 200618 yr Author I could score against bloody Andorra! Well I think just about everyone could. But still no matter how bad the quality of the oppostion and how many chances are gifted to a striker they still have to have the mentality to place the ball in the back of the net. Yes Crouch does miss a lot of good chances but doesn't every striker?.
September 7, 200618 yr Yes, but Crouch misses the easiest chances and is so frustrating to watch, although the ref was bad yesterday and blew every time Crouch wentto win a header that's about all he can do, win headers and provide 'fancey' flicks (not so fancey) and can score a tap in or header. If he was 5ft 3 he wouldn't be in the England team ... When players like Crouch are in the team watching England is like SLOW TORTURE.
September 7, 200618 yr Author Yeah it can be torture to watch Crouch play but it can be with a lot of players. He's pretty c**p at heading a ball into the goal because he's so tall that he can't get any power on his head but still he's a good player and is also a great asset to the England side because of his height, but you are probably right in the fact that if he were 5ft 3 then he wouldn't be in the England side but then he'd probably have more pace and look so confident on the ball.
September 7, 200618 yr Look who they've been against: Jamaica Urugauy Andorra Maedonia Trinidad & Tbago Greece STUNNING. . But these are the types of countries EVERY Eurpean team plays. But can you name any England players or anyone else with a goalscoring record as good as Crouch's? OH NO. THOUGHT NOT  Edited September 7, 200618 yr by RabbitFurCoat
September 7, 200618 yr . But these are the types of countries EVERY Eurpean team plays. But can you name any England players or anyone else with a goalscoring record as good as Crouch's? OH NO. THOUGHT NOT  Just wait till he plays against the big teams of Europe, I bet he won't even score in Euro 2008. ..
September 7, 200618 yr Maybe so, but there's no one in the whole of Europe who's got a record as good as he has. You cannot deny that currently, he is excellent!
September 7, 200618 yr He's scored in EVERY game he's started for both club and country so far this season and I think the goals he gets against teams that Liverpool play prove his quality personally.. and Rooney will be a great partner for him as he'll able to get the ball to him so he could finish the job. ^_^
September 9, 200618 yr He's scored in EVERY game he's started for both club and country so far this season and I think the goals he gets against teams that Liverpool play prove his quality personally.. and Rooney will be a great partner for him as he'll able to get the ball to him so he could finish the job. ^_^ He didn't score against Sheffield United.
September 9, 200618 yr He didn't score against Sheffield United. He didn't play against them that's why  He started against Everton today and didn't score though...
