There definitely isn't a promotion bandwagon like bands ala Spice Girls, Girls Aloud, etc all did back in the day. Obviously there isn't as many decent music shows to promote on but they still don't show any determination to do as much as possible... it all seems to be left to the very last week. Probably still get Top 15/20 I think but with no thanks them, thanks to the loyal fans alone.

It's all such a shame, they have a really killer single that the fans seem to love and radio just pretty much snub them and they aren't even getting that much airplay on TV either. It has all the makings of a hit, but people just aren't hearing it and the fanbase will only take them so far up the chart.

We will see how things go, as sad it sounds I will be absolutely heartbroken if they split having been a huge fan since if This Is Love. How depressing to think that could happen :/ I'd love to be a beacon of positivity in this thread but I just can't...

It's quite amazing to see how repetitive threads on this forum become. Sad, but interesting.

Don't you think it would be wise to just leave everything at bay until the week of release; what better time to vent your anger?

I really thought this campaign would be Headlines 2.0 but really as it's going it's just Not Giving Up 2.0. So much excitement to begin with, next to nothing promo and as a result disappointment. The thing is if they actually put the effort in and weren't getting married weeks before one of their most important single campaigns, they could actually sell quite a lot and be just as big as they were in 2010/2011

I agree, we've been through this all before and they've still managed to chug along.

For them to be so complacent with this release makes me think that they have something up their sleeves. Maybe some major promo during release week or maybe a feature in First Choice commercials? Of course, it's possible that none of that could happen and they just don't care about their performance.

I was thinking this earlier. They must have something big up their sleeves or know something we don't.

If the plans about releasing an album later this year are indeed real, it does seem like this Greatest Hits and this tour is just a way to cash in some easy money.

WAYWF was recorded back then for 'On Your Radar', 'Walking Through the Desert' has been produced by a really unknown/unpopular producer which I believe doesn't ask much, and '808' couldn't have been that expensive either, the video has been paid by First Choice...It all seems like it cost next to nothing for them. So to me, this looks like it could be a case of them trying to get all the easy money out of the fans and a few people of the general public and then having some budget (hopefully?) for the album later this year. I also think they believe they will get some hype out of the tour and the album and they will try to surf on that right away with an album ready to go instead of waiting a year or half a year.
Strike while the iron is hot
, and all you know. :P

It also makes sense why Mollie said they don't expect a second single out of this Greatest Hits because if they were to release an album, and thus a single, in late 2014, then they would need to premiere it on radio around early October maybe? That's about when they would premiere a second single if there was one, so it couldn't work unless they delay everything and I don't know, it would complicate things.

However, breakaway is right and we should wait for the release before being really gloom and doom (breakup, complete radio snub, etc). That being said, I do believe that people are free to post things such as "It hasn't been playlisted yet. It's a bit worrying" or "It's only #39 on TV, it's kinda poor" ...because I mean these are absolutely true lol. :kink:

Yeah but have we ever been through the situation where Radio 1 and Capital have snubbed their last two singles. Capital playlisted Not Giving Up but they never really played the song.

I am past caring now. Why should we worry about their laziness.

100% agree. I'm so p***ed off. As a fan I am really past caring about their success when they don't. They better not expect me to vote for them on I'm A Celeb next year

I bet they'll be doing all the promo, trying to grasp all the money they can on The Big Reunion in 4 years.

The way things are going Frankie and Rochelle will be on it with S Club 8 next year.

how naive was I? I thought a while ago that by this stage they'd have been so bored of constant WAYWF promo that they might start slipping in When Love Takes Over performances to the promo. Musta been high at the time or something
Perhaps we should cancel our pre-orders in the hope that they'll see that and promote?

Well they've only got about 8 pre-orders as it is and it's still not looking good on the promo side.

She tweeted , a quote from the song?

Yes that is new, but the downward trend isn't.

Fortunately back up to #38 on TV airplay. It's bound to fluctuate a bit, but hopefully in can achieve a new peak come Sunday.
Did we actually hear MLTO already
