La Tortura was just on B4. I have also seen it on an advert on B4 that shows all the new music from Ordinary Boys, Sleepy Brown & Shakira.

I was watching the B4 channel (357 on Sky) this morning and they said what their new videos for this week are...and one of them was La Tortura by Shakira :o

Is it getting a release or is it to help promote OFV2 perhaps???

:o I hope it's a B-Side with Illegal :fingers crossed:

*Merged :D

whoa!!! this is important i think i know whats gonna happen....

the UK is getting a different release schedule to the rest of the world, the rest of europe may just get illegal and we get 'la tortura' instead cause we missed out on it or the best scenario a double a side

it makes sense its a song that has a big chance on OF2 even though its in spanish but question....will radio play an all spanish language track!! will she be snubbed again? daddy yankee managed it so she has a chance BUT she needs exposure to make this a big hit how is she going to acheive this sony UK if radio ignore her?? are they expecting a HDL type like beating all the odds success? can she do it twice without stepping into the UK to do promo?? jumping the gun a bit but bring 'la tortura' on!!!

I would absolutely love it if that happened :D but I'm not entirely convinced.

B4 music often plays songs that are big in America but not getting released here or playing them ages before they are released. I'll be more convinced if The Box, The Hits etc add it. B4 actually used played La Tortura when it came out in America so they might just be adding it again after the success of HDL.

I think at most - we'll get La Tortura as a double A Side with Illegal. I'm doubtful of that as well though really although it would be amazing if La Tortura got some kind of release.

most likely you are right it will be a double a side illegal/la tortura and cause there is no video for illegal yet B4 are playing la tortura for now, i hope this is true its an inspired idea by sony uk to hit the UK on two fronts
Yeah, they might as well make the most of La Tortura now that they've added it to OF2. It's a ready made single really.

There aren't even any signs of an Illegal video shoot on the horizon, so when it is done is at least 6/8 weeks away from making TV, I have a feeling 'La Tortura' could be single #3 and then 'Illegal' #4 there's enough time for the gap.

I never saw this coming though :o

It would be good to do that - it means there's no big gap between HDL and Illegal like there is in America. If it's added to The Box tomorrow I will be overjoyed!

as long as animal city is safe worldwide the uk may not get it if they make la tortura 3rd and illegal 4th but we are only halfway through OF2 single wise we got loads to come :cheer:
that would be amaze, but what if it just fades away like the last time they started showing it on channels?

Well its come on the back of a HUGE sile so there'll automatically eb more interest this time and Sony should hopefully push it :D

GREAT if not toally unexpected single choice though

big gaps between singles is a danger she needs to come here in october to support the track if radio ignores her and i hope she does

sony UK must know how popular she is now and HDL should give them confidence especially if they are serious about releasing an all spanish language track, after HDL the UK is no longer one of her weakest markets, its worth coming here she can sell and sell big, just 2 or 3 days to do promo thats all we are asking for then skip along to europe

she should do major tv shows i want the UK to embrace LT they way the rest of the world did, can you imagine seeing shakira perform on gmtv or sharon osbourne show a spanish track in her toughest market what a challenge!! they need to see the boob thrusting and how great her spanish material is too!! it would be a dream but wait!! bare feet on the ground time....none of this may happen

I don't see it as a good thing that they're playing La Tortura if it's not going to be the next single, because they will confuse people and then they won't know what to buy. But the promotion is always good.

If it's just B4 playing it it's not too bad. They're not that big of a channel. In fact, I think they're one of the few channels that plays songs that won't be released. They often play things from America that aren't released here or won't be a while.

PS - Nice to see you posting here

But the american songs they play are meant to come out here but then get delayed/cancelled. They just put them up on the channel too early (Nick Lachey etc). Maybe this will happen with Shakira?

I think they may just be playing it because they've got it in their catalogue from last year and now Shakira has become such a big name again - they're adding it to the playlist for a bit. I don't think it will get cancelled if they've decided it's going to be released. What makes me think it could be the next single is that they advertised it as new music...hmmmm...
