December 5, 201410 yr Christmas Songs Lauren - Stay Another Day Fleur - All I want for Christmas is You Ben - Please Come Home for Christmas Andrea - O Holy Night Awful for Lauren, good for Ben and Fleur (depending if Fleur can do it vocally and arrangement) Andrea will shout his way through.
December 5, 201410 yr Fleur - All I want for Xmas Andrea - o holy night Lauren - stay another day Ben - please come home for Xmas We crossed :)
December 5, 201410 yr What is Cheryl thinking? Very boring choice for Lauren :( AIWFCIY is great for fleur though <3

December 5, 201410 yr Two Christmas songs for Ben? I love him but this may even test me :) What an awful theme and Andrea doing Miley Cyrus! LOL Edited December 5, 201410 yr by torresgirl
December 5, 201410 yr ^ Hallelujah isn't a Christmas song  Alexanda and Jeff Buckley made up the Christmas top 2 with it in 2008 but that doesn't mean it's a Christmas song! Hallelujah for Ben :puke: He has a terrible habit of sucking all meaning or emotion out of most songs so this is like the worst possible choice  I like Wrecking Ball for Andrea though! It's similar to Chandelier in that it's sort of what he's doing with the diva ballads but it's modern and won't be as boring or predictable. Uptown Funk for Fleur is AMAZING too. Omg. Neither of Lauren's choices are what she needs to propel her to the final but I think she'd go anyway! The second theme must be unplugged? Although I'm not sure how Uptown Funk would work... But I can't see how Miley Cyrus would be Andrea's idol
December 5, 201410 yr I thought it was one Christmas song and then another theme. Two Christmas songs is horrific! It is. Unless you consider Uptown Funk and Wrecking Ball Christmas songs? Oh never mind, you edited. Edited December 5, 201410 yr by Defaze
December 5, 201410 yr Stay Another Day isn't really a Christmas song either. Nothing festive or Christmassy in the lyrics. It just happened to be a Christmas Number 1 once. But so did Bob the Builder... Edited December 5, 201410 yr by MistleJoe.

I thought it was going to be the same for all. I'm not sure Hallelujah was originally Christmas song or released at Christmas? And obviously Alexandra won with that song at Christmas. I love her version. Now I've considered I think Ben can do that well and his first choice will really suit him too. Edited December 5, 201410 yr by torresgirl

But so did Bob the Builder... Isn't there the kind of festive version with sleigh bells in the background? Very tenuous link, but this is X Factor after all! Still, I agree it isn't really a Christmas song. It's not as if there were hardy any Xmas songs that would suit Lauren :/
December 5, 201410 yr Bit sad at no 'Doo Wop' but 'Uptown Funk' should be fantastic. Fresh and modern with real ability to perform with the main section. Can just imagine her absolutely killing the dancing and putting on one hell of a show. I do feel like it has been too long since we heard her rap though :(

December 5, 201410 yr What is Cheryl thinking? Very boring choice for Lauren :( Ironic considering it was supposed to be Girls Aloud's debut single!
December 5, 201410 yr Let's face it you wouldn't like anything Ben did so the song choice is irrelevant :P Maybe not but personally I'd rather he didn't sing a song I really like, as I'm sure is the case for acts you don't like.
December 5, 201410 yr Maybe not but personally I'd rather he didn't sing a song I really like, as I'm sure is the case for acts you don't like. Yes I can understand that. Just messing. I really like that song too but as I love his voice I think I will like it.
December 5, 201410 yr Andrea better nail Wrecking Ball, Because O holy night is a snooze fest. Of course Fleur gets the ultimate xmas classic and a modern song, can we just hand her the crown already because Simon wouldn't have it any other way at this point. Lauren looks the fave to go, but it is between her and Andrea really.

Lauren looks the fave to go, but it is between her and Andrea really. He really wants her to win I think but he's started backing Ben more because (my opinion only and no facts) I think Ben is getting more votes. Just a feeling. The crowd reaction to Mel and Cheryl to a point, last week when they didn't praise the performance (I've never quite heard a reaction like that) told him that too. December 5, 201410 yr I know this was said by a few people last week and we all know what happened but I can really only see it being Lauren who goes sadly. I would say Andrea but I think this week could go similarly well to last week. Wrecking Ball is a contemporary choice which is still in his lane whilst O Holy Night is another big voiced diva ballad which should grab the mum vote. Fleur and Ben are both in very strong positions too, especially Fleur. She has a song which will be among many people's favourite Xmas tracks as well as a very modern choice, whilst Ben has a huge crowd pleaser in Hallelujah. I think if Lauren smashed it like she did the sing-off, then she'd have a chance but I don't feel like those two songs give her enough scope for that to happen. Obviously we can't tell until she performs but just judging by the song choices I don't think it's likely.
