September 1, 201410 yr Q&A with the maker of Eau de Gaga, Ursula Wandel:Ā http://pumpkin-paradise.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/o.27808.jpgĀ Q: In three words, how would you describe Eau de Gaga? Sparkling, sexy, unexpected.Ā Q: How did you approach capturing the essence of Lady Gaga? During the discussion I had with her, I captured her quest to surprise and to be where we donāt expect her to be. To contrast with her personality, she wanted her new fragrance to be a sparkling, clean and pure āEauā. The olfactive challenge was unexpected.Ā Q: What makes developing a fragrance that is aimed at both men and women different from a traditional masculine or feminine scent? The challenge was to find the right balance between feminine & masculine olfactive ācodesā. For Eau de Gaga, I wanted to use ambiguous accords and ingredients in order to break away from the traditional āgender-specificā ingredients commonly used in perfumery. I chose an ambivalent flower (the hermaphrodite white violet), combined with an ambivalent wood (patchouli) and an ambivalent sensuality (leather notes) wrapped with a freshness that would appeal to both to men and women.Ā Q: Can you tell us more about the hermaphrodite white violet note? The hermaphrodite white violet (Viola albaodorata) is a wild flower that grows in Europe. It is the most-scented existing violet, blooming in March, announcing Spring. Its scent is pure, very luminous andā¦aphrodisiac! I took my inspiration from a white violet note captured during one of Givaudanās Scent Treks ā¢. Our expertise enables us to capture a flowerās scent with total respect for the environment and remaining extremely faithful to the true scent of the flower as we smell it in nature. A true renaissance smell!Ā Q: What family does the fragrance belong to and how is it structured? It belongs to the Floral Citrus Woody family and it is characterized by a āwrapping freshnessā structure. It attracts attention through its sparkling citrus notes and intriguing, vibrant spices. These same notes then guide the senses through the heart of this creation highlighting the white violet, faceted by Earl Grey tea and leading us to the daring base notes of creamy sandalwood and āinstinct leatherā which wrap this fragrance in a veil of sensuality. Eau de Gaga contains nearly 30 natural ingredients, which is extremely rare in todayās fragrances and is another feature that makes this fragrance stand out from the crowd.Ā Q: Fragrances that appeal to both men and women became popular twenty years with the launch of the iconic CKOne. How have fragrances that appeal to both men and women created today evolved from the ones developed in the past? What do you think the future is for them? These fragrances have evolved a lot. I would even say they evolved with society somehow. When CK One was launched in 1994, it was supposed to represent a feminine and masculine harmony: Pure equality between genders, translated olfactively. Over time, the olfactive landscape for both genders has evolved - feminine fragrances being woodier, masculine ones being more floral, even gourmand. Today, a fragrance that is for both men and women has to respect some fundamental codes but push the olfactive boundaries further, in line with the evolutions we see in masculine and feminine fragrances. With āEau de Gagaā the objective was to express an āambivalent sensualityā. This fragrance portrays how I see society today and also my vision for the future.Ā Q: What were sources of inspiration when creating this fragrance? An Earl Grey tea (with a Bergamot facet) to translate a sparkling freshness. The white violet, which encompasses both feminine and masculine elements: The flower itself to express the feminine facet through a suave scent, and its heart shaped leaves which express masculinity through their green, fresh scent.Ā Q: How involved was Lady Gaga in the creation of her second fragrance? She was extremely involved. As I said, she had a very clear vision of what she wanted for her second fragrance, and she provided me with a plethora of images and feelings to help me with the creative process. For example, a āfresh from the showerā sensation, but combined with a deep and lasting sensuality.Ā Q: Who do you imagine wearing this scent? Everybody. It is a āgender-freeā, ageless and timeless fragrance.Ā Q: Could both members of a couple wear it at the same time? Totally. Please, experience it and enjoy it together!Ā Q: Does Eau de Gaga smell differently on a man than on a woman? As Dali said: āA person wearing a perfume gives the sex of it.āĀ Q: When and where do you imagine someone wearing this fragrance? Anywhere. Anytime.
September 2, 201410 yr SDRoHJHDq-gĀ WWmHXYdwbKUĀ OMG IT LOOKS SO GOOD http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ed2305b7.png http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v232/korn0818/ed2305b7.png
September 4, 201410 yr A user on Gagadaily has said that it's already in some stores in the UK :o while another who has it has given this review:Ā It's been three days since it was released but my local Sephora has finally received it today. Before going, I made sure it was available by checking on their website. And it was there. I yaaaaaaaaass'd internally in the train when I saw this. So a few hours later, I entered Sephora, filled with anxiety because I was afraid they were out of stock but the perfume was there. Before testing it, I was super afraid not to like it because everyone who had tested it before said that it was a fragrance for men. Turns out that they're totally wrong ! It truly is a unisex fragrance, which is a very good thing !Ā Okay, so now: the smell ! I feel like there's a strong vetiver smell at first, and lime as well. It really smells "clean". Now I understand what Gaga meant with "Fresh out of the shower" !! It's a very fresh fragrance, that's for sure ! Now that's what you smell when you test it on a little piece of paper. But there's more. You know this "sensual" aspect ? Well it's here too. I've been wearing it for 6 hours now and I feel like the scent has changed; it's a bit deeper and sensual, not as "fresh" as before, even though you can still smell the vetiver ! It's not sweet like FAME, not at all ! (I'm just saying this because I know a lot of you are afraid of that. Fear not, fellow Monsters).Ā In short, it's an amazing fragrance and I really hope you guys will like it ! OH YAASS IT SOUNDS SO GOODĀ I'm just a bit bothered at those people dismissing it as a men's frangrance and I wonder how that will effect its sales?

October 5, 201410 yr I bought this last week, probably the best perfume/aftershave/fragrance whatever I've ever bought. I never bought the Fame but it smells 10x better imo

December 15, 201410 yr You can tell she just released as a contractual obligation, she's done no promo for it other than the ad and she doesn't even talk about it anywhere, if there was actually something being invested in this as a project it could at least match half the 30 million Fame did. And it's such a pity because it has so much potential and is a much better fragrance than Fame :( Anyway it's £4.99 in B+M Bargains in the UK, go buy it for each other for Christmas y'all <3
