Thank you to Regina for making our banner!

Welcome to the results of Ultimate Pop Female 2014! Thank you to everyone who has been nominating and voting over the past couple of weeks. It is time to start counting down the 122 artists that made it through the nominations round into the final voting round.

The last time the competition was held, in 2012, Rihanna won by an incredible 161 points over Beyoncé which gave us a Rihanna and Beyoncé top 2 for the second year running. But with a 2 year gap between now and then - will there have been enough of a change to give Beyoncé her first victory or could someone jump to the top from even further down the 2012 chart?

The aim is to get these results over the next 3 days with the majority being done today and tomorrow to leave us with the final 20 on Wednesday evening. However we may end up moving some of today's over to tomorrow due to everyone's incredible excitement for Taylor Swift's live stream (in 8 hours time!) and Celebrity Big Brother, but we'll see how we go!

Any last minute predictions? I'll post the first set of results shortly. If you would like a reminder of the 2012 results, click here and for any previous years, check the Rate Index at the top of this forum for all the links you need!

Y'know Ryan, Umi and Liam both made reference to my "keen interest" in men and Kylie when they thanked me :smoke:
I think a Beyoncé or Katy Perry win is on the cards, excited for the results anyway.

Before we start, just a note that XX in the chart runs means that the artist was not in the final voting round in that year and artists with the same number of points have been ordered on who had the most number of voters.

111| Inna - 46 points (XX-84-92-111)

112| Ella Eyre - 46 points (XX-XX-XX-112)

113| Banks - 42 points (XX-XX-XX-113)

114| VV Brown - 41 points (66-XX-86-114)

115| Mylène Farmer - 39 points (XX-XX-XX-115)

116| Tinashe - 31 points (XX-XX-XX-116)

117| Natalia Kills - 29 points (XX-96-XX-117)

118| Tulisa - 27 points (XX-XX-XX-118)

119| Lauren Mayberry - 18 points (XX-XX-XX-119)

120| Mel B - 15 points (XX-XX-XX-120)

121| Indila - 13 points (XX-XX-XX-121)

122| Sky Ferreira - 6 points (XX-XX-XX-122)

As we take a look at the bottom of the chart, as expected a lot of them are new entries. Nothing very surprising here but Inna continues her decline as she falls in the chart for the third consecutive year most likely due to her lack of UK chart success with her recent couple of albums. VV Brown also declines for the third non-consecutive year (she didn't make the chart in 2011) while Natalia Kills makes a re-entry following her absence from the chart in 2012. A couple of French singers are also in this section with BJSC winner Indila entering the chart in 121st place and Mylène Farmer 6 places higher. Two further new entries in Banks and Ella Eyre are artists to look out for next year as they definitely have the potential to make it big on the charts, especially Ella who is receiving lots of Buzzjack support. Sorry the commentary isn't too exciting at the moment but I hope it'll improve as we move on!

Such a shame Natalia isn't successful/more known, I'm positive she'd be very high if she was :( Sky Ferreira isn't something I voted for or anything but I like her, she certainly shouldn't be last! I Blame Myself
Lauren Mayberry :( Was hoping she might be a little higher, still not bad

Love 3 of those who all have a selection of quite good songs with 1 standout

Ella Eyre with If I Go is fantastic

I am obsessed with both Shark In The Water and Mirrors by VV Brown and Natalia Kills

All 3 really good artists

Queen Lana for the win

101| Hilary Duff - 63 points (XX-XX-XX-101)

102| Leah McFall - 62 points (XX-XX-XX-102)

103| Sara Bareilles - 60 points (XX-XX-94-103)

104| Jess Glynne - 58 points (XX-XX-XX-104)

105| Tove Lo - 52 points (XX-XX-XX-105)

106| Jhené Aiko - 52 points (XX-XX-XX-106)

107| SZA - 51 points (XX-XX-XX-107)

108| Cassie - 51 points (XX-98-XX-108)

109| Azealia Banks - 50 points (XX-XX-XX-109)

110| Jonna Lee - 49 points (XX-XX-63-110)

Once again, a lot of new entries in this section including the likes of Leah McFall who has had a lot of Buzzjack support for her recent single 'Home' and Tove Lo who has recently had success commercially after having a lot of hype on the internet blogs. Surprisingly Hilary Duff is also a new entry despite releasing her first single around a decade ago, although she has been on a break for the past few years and has only very recently returned with new singles 'Chasing the Sun' and 'All About You'. A slight decrease for Sara Bareilles this year and a larger 47 place drop for Jonna Lee.

Hilary Duff is way too low :( I guess she has only just returned from her break but So Yesterday, Come Clean, Beat Of My Heart, Fly, Little Voice, Stranger, With Love and Gypsy Woman are all amazing *.* I adore Tove Lo too but she does only have one EP so I'm not too shocked at her being low.

It feels weird commenting when I know the winner and the order of eveyrone to come

Azealia even flopping on Buzzjack

Ooh results.

It pains me to see Azealia so low when Iggy could probably go top 10 :drama: And well overall there's quite a few injustices so far but I didn't expect any of these people to go much further

91| Carly Rae Jepsen - 94 points (XX-XX-72-91)

92| Emma Bunton - 90 points (XX-XX-XX-92)

93| Gabrielle Aplin - 88 points (XX-XX-XX-93)

94| Sofi Marinova - 87 points (XX-XX-XX-94)

95| Rebecca Ferguson - 80 points (XX-XX-71-95)

96| FKA Twigs - 80 points (XX-XX-XX-96)

97| Mutya Buena - 79 points (XX-87-XX-97)

98| Grimes - 74 points (XX-XX-XX-98)

99| Charli XCX - 65 points (XX-XX-XX-99)

100| Kiesza - 64 points (XX-XX-XX-100)

As is expected, lots more new entries including the likes of Gabrielle Aplin who achieved a #1 single with her cover of 'The Power of Love' and Charli XCX who is becoming more and more popular thanks to the mainstream success of 'Boom Clap' as well as her features on 'I Love It' and 'Fancy'. Mutya Buena returns to the chart for the first time since 2011 but not quite reaching a new peak. Eurovision semi-finalist Sofi Marinova also makes her first appearance on the chart and is therefore currently one of the most popular Eurovision contestants on Buzzjack! Also Carly Rae Jepsen and Rebecca Ferguson both fall around 20 places from 2012 probably due to Carly currently working on her follow-up album to 'Kiss' and Rebecca's second album 'Freedom' being not quite as successful as her debut 'Heaven'.

Criminally low for Sofi :drama:
It does feel sad to see Carly so low given she had a strong 2012 début. She shouldn't be down in the flop sections :drama:
I expected Charli a bit higher, since she seems to be one of the "itgirls" of 2014

Yeah me too, no big loses so far, nice to see Mutya in again :D

Britney FTW of course ^_^

81| Dannii Minogue - 116 points (58-XX-XX-81)

82| Lena - 116 points (XX-XX-66-82)

83| Natasha Bedingfield - 114 points (21-42-77-83)

84| Solange - 114 points (XX-XX-XX-84)

85| Amelia Lily - 113 points (XX-XX-XX-85)

86| Beverley Knight - 104 points (46-45-70-86)

87| Estelle - 104 points (XX-XX-XX-87)

88| Alesha Dixon - 101 points (90-74-78-88)

89| Pixie Lott - 101 points (30-37-55-89)

90| Lykke Li - 97 points (86-76-69-90)

Only a small number of new entries in this round including Amelia Lily who would most likely have entered last year if the competition was run after releasing her first three singles between 2012 and 2013. Both Natasha Bedingfield and Pixie Lott continue their consecutive declines, both were top 30 in 2010 and are now only just inside the top 90. Dannii Minogue re-enters the chart after two years away while Lykke Li falls 21 places after 3 consecutive years of climbing the chart. Somehow Lena falls 16 places despite her UK success this year but I assume Liam has made a calculation error there. Look out for her new album in October though!
