After their #29 SMASH HIT :smoke: debut 'Losing A Friend' back in July, the 4 piece Icelandic girlgroup are returning to the UK charts in October with new Doube A Side single 'Closer' & 'Sweet Dreams'

Not heard the other song yet but 'Closer' seems a bit of a 'Whole Lotta History' rip-off if you ask me - they're going for another ballad but this one has more potential to be a bigger hit than 'Losing A Friend' if promoted the right way. I love it personally :wub:

 

It's out on October 9th and the video has been added to The Box today so let us share opinions :kink:

This probably do better than LAF simply because it'll have been on the video channels longer than the 2 weeks prior to release that LAF got.

 

I'm not fussed on this thus far, I need to give it a few listens, sounds a little MOR

I prefer it to 'Losing A Friend' on the first listen, but it's still pretty average. It doesn't have any edge to it.

The other one is a real bast*rdisation of Eurythmics 'Sweet dreams' - AWFUL!

 

This isn't too bad, but nowhere near as good as 'Losing a friend' on first listen. Hope its a grower!

I think its a half decent song but another ballad? They all seem to have good voices but can't Icelandic girl groups do anything apart from ballads? Tbh I think this won't do as well as their #29 hit LAF and I atm can see it struggling to get top 40. I think that it being released so early for an artist so small as them, may work against them and make the single suffer as a result.

Not great, much preferred the last one.

I really like this .. BUT Losing A Friend is far better :wub: but this one is much more of a grower than Losing A Friend was, so I guess it's all good :P lol

I bought the CD single this week as I've never seen either song on Limewire lol...both tracks are great in my opinion...they add a certain Icelandic charm to Sweet Dreams-the lead singer has a hypnotic accent :-) Her name is something ridiculous though...
