November 12, 201410 yr Me and Scherz know the right lyric because Vanessa sent us guidance as a reward for stanning for her. Queen V Sorry that was me :kink: Trolled you guys!
November 12, 201410 yr Author I always heard "unless I'm walking through the desert" too but that makes so much more sense! Their lyrics are never right on the lyrics sites. Have you seen some of the lyrics that are out there for Not Giving Up? "With you it's like you kill the shade" should be *with you it's light, you kill the shade "Hit me so hard, I don't know where" should be *hit me so hard out of nowhere MESS
November 12, 201410 yr *waits for other issues haters to bring up stab lyric in issues* I nearly crashed my car having the stab/slap debate with someone.
November 12, 201410 yr "Hit me so hard, I don't know where" That was always so stupid. YOU'VE BEEN HIT WHERE IT HURTS YOU c**t. I can't with peasants sometimes. But "a lost soul walking through the desert a night" is actually a pretty lyrics. Love it! I've just listened to a live and yes it's pretty clear that it's that! :o Yasssss, Imma sing that now.
November 12, 201410 yr It sounds much more thoughtful than unless I'm walking through the desert! V impressed :cheer:
November 13, 201410 yr Author That was always so stupid. YOU'VE BEEN HIT WHERE IT HURTS YOU c**t. I can't with peasants sometimes. :kink: While we're on this topic, what does Vanessa say in the second verse of the Sats' best song? "There's a dark cloud pulling me in, that's asdfklaglsakdf in sin"
November 13, 201410 yr :kink: While we're on this topic, what does Vanessa say in the second verse of the Sats' best song? "There's a dark cloud pulling me in, that's asdfklaglsakdf in sin" Isn't it "that's the girl I was bathing in sin"...whatever that means? I know some people say it's the "breathing", but I really don't hear the "R" sound after the "B". November 13, 201410 yr Hurricane is a secret "Missing You" stan. :w00t: I actually had to listen to it to say what were the lyrics and.... and.... and.... it wasn't as awful as I thought it would be. :drama: What's happening to me?!

November 13, 201410 yr Eww Hurricane who are you!? I secretly play Missing You in my mind, where it's sound better anyways.
November 13, 201410 yr Eww Hurricane who are you!? I secretly play Missing You in my mind, where it's sound better anyways. To my defense I skipped through Frankie's awful verse and went directly to Vanessa's verse and from there onwards it's already slightly less awful. :drama: Also, I was listening to the AOL performance to see if I could hear what Vanessa sings a bit better and it made me realise 'Missing You' could have been so much better had it been more stripped back production-wise. It should have been more hunting, more dark, more nostalgic/depressive. I feel like it's too bright, not cold enough. The vocal delivery is just so disappointing on the emotions-matter. Even Vanessa doesn't emote well in it. I think my biggest issue with 'Missing You' is that there's clearly a good song somewhere behind, but it just doesn't reach its true potential. Shame because the lyrics are really good for Saturdays standards and the instrumental on its own is nice (but as I said, for the song, I feel like it needed to be more dark, more hunting, etc, etc.) So in the end, it just fails on like all the levels, not even succeeding in anything... -_-
November 13, 201410 yr I agree that Frankie's verse is piss poor. She doesn't have the voice to carry off a whole verse at the start. Vanessa's verse is amazing. Mollie's two seconds are shit. Rochessa completely slay the middle 8, but it would be better if they removed the dodgy vocal effect on Roch's voice. Poor Una deserves a solo on "Missing You" - it sounds like it was made for her.
November 13, 201410 yr On the tour, I actually asked Una in person about the WTTD lyrics as it was annoying the hell out of me. She said it's "a lost soul walking through...".
November 13, 201410 yr Haha I love how confused we are. I praise the writers if it is "I'm a lost soul"; that is one great metaphor. Frankie's verse is at too low a key right? I don't think she's comfortable in that range unless she's actually resonating her voice like in Lies (). Edited November 13, 201410 yr by ḇreakaway

I would be so nice with a better production. Dark nostalgic/depressive is exactly what it needs. Sorry very well explained. Their vocals on the verses sound so dull, I can't even take it seriously. I can'even listen to Rochelle robotic middle-8, it sounds so much better live.

She puts so much emotion into it, which is quite rare for her.
