Umi's Chart Highlights

  • Anomaly by Lecrea is the first album to top both the Gospel Albums chart and the main Billboard Top 200, and only the 5th album to top Christian Albums and the main chart. It is Lecrea's 6th Gospel Albums #1 and 5th Christian Albums #1.
  • Anomaly is Lecrea's first Albums Top 200 #1 and only his second top 10. He has to date sold 1.4 million albums between 7 releases.
  • There are 7 new entries in the top 10 this week, the highest number since 7 also entered in October 2013, led by Miley Cyrus' Bangerz.
  • Maroon 5 fall only by 50% in sales but this is explained by a "album with tour tickets" deal they are currently doing.
  • This week's album sales were 4.2 million - up +1% on last week but down -9% compared with same week last year. YTD stands at 166.9 million - down -15% on same point last year.

Great for Jhené! :D

Shame she missed out on a Top 10 place, but I'm surprised she's done this well.

I really thought she'd do better in the UK where she only managed #20 with 4,000 sales.

I don't know where her sales came from. Her fanbase seems really weirdly big.

She toured with The Weeknd last year, and did some festivals this year.

Can't quite believe a gospel album has never been #1 on the main album chart until now - I know it's not the most mainstream genre but the US does love a bit of random music a lot of the time.

07 13 Frozen Soundtrack - 30,000 (3,387,000)

I don't quite understand this, surely they should be the other way around if the Frozen Soundtrack has more sales?

(Or am I being dumb?)
