Posted September 21, 201410 yr Sitting atop the chart for a second week is Devon singer/songwriter Ben Howard- and his new single(s), charting mainly for the wonderful "End of the Affair" - which serve as introduction to his forthcoming second album I Forget Where We Were, due in October. Howard's previous peak was in July 2011 for "The Wolves", which climbed as high as No. 5 that summer. He also then went on to have two further Top 10 hits, "The Fear", which hit #8 just before Christmas in 2011 and "Only Love" which peaked #10 in June 2012. "Keep Your Head Up" (#13) and "Old Pine" (#28) also provided minor hit singles from his debut album Every Kingdom. It means American singer/songwriter Mike Hadreas, aka Perfume Genius has to settle for the runners-up position as "Queen" leaps 7-2 in its sixth week; in the process deposing Zeds Dead, Twin Shadow & D'Angelo Lacy who slide 2-3 this week with "Lost You" after peaking at No. 2 last week. Aphex Twin scores his first ever Top 10 hit (his first proper single since 1999s "Windowlicker") with "minipops 67 [120.2] [source field mix]" as it climbs impressively from 14-6 and looks a strong contender to become the next #1. Joining him in the Top 10 is Lykke Li with the second single from her new LP I Never Learn - the Swedish singer scored her first ever #1 earlier this year with "No Rest For The Wicked" and "Gunshot" hopes to replicate that success for her as it inches up 13-10. There is further success for Swedish acts this week; the weeks biggest climber comes from iamamiwhoami - who has already acquired 4 Top 20 hits this year. "Blue Blue" is the latest to achieve Top 20 status as it catapults from 33-18, and looks likely to push for the Top 5 as per previous hits from her forthcoming new LP Blue - "Fountain" (#1 in March) and "Hunting For Pearls" (#5 in April). Fellow Swede Robyn, with collaborative production duties from Norwegian neighbours Röyksopp, take "Monument" up 17-12 this week aiding the Swedish/Scandinavian domination in the Top twenty this week. Of the new entries - of which there are just six this week - the only newcomers are Mr Twin Sister, an alternative band from America (formerly known as Twin Sister) who conjure up some excellent late eighties house flavours on "In the House of Yes" which debuts at No. 44.
