September 10, 200618 yr This should be great. How many people does MK hold again? I'm guessing it's more than 80,000 since extra tickets went on sales when it was moved form Wembley :D I wonder if it will be the tour DVD? A mix of all 5 nights :cheer: I'll be happy with the Leeds gig myself
September 10, 200618 yr Author And here is the famous MK Field. Oops. MK Bowl. ;) http://i8.tinypic.com/3zlc4s9.jpg
September 10, 200618 yr Author I'm really not sure Scotty. The Official Site shows the capacity as 75,000 but I think some of the figures on the Official Site are way too low. For instance, it still shows Hampden as 52,000 but extra tix def went on sale there and there were at least 55,000 there each night. I've been using the Official Site for my 'calculator' but I'm not convinced about it's accuracy.

September 10, 200618 yr So only 65,000. That is impossible. Wembley was 75-80,000 and when they switched to MK they put extra tickets on sale :o

September 10, 200618 yr We've had really good weather here lately so hopefully there will be no need for umbrellas anyway. Have brought a waterproof jacket just incase ;)
September 10, 200618 yr Did anyone else have massive problems finding hotels?? The day the venue change was annouced, I went online to find a hotel ... all the ones nearby that are recommended on the Bowl's website suddenly bumped up their prices to well over £100 ( I think one was £185 just for a single room!) I eventually got into a B&B 5 miles away, but even that is £85! These places certainly know how to rip off people GRRRRR. If it had been at Wembley, I could have stayed at my brother's house On another note ... there are free shuttle buses from the train & bus station to the Bowl for anyone (like me) using public transport - it might even be easier to park at the train station than trying to use car-parks at the Bowl
September 10, 200618 yr With thanks to PureRobbie.com Source www.mkweb.com Milton Keynes Bowl Plan The plan of the Bowl, shown below, shows the gates, location of toilets and access roads and the car parks http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j317/sparkle41/map1.jpg Phew! so glad I know where the toilets are going to be now :P Edited September 10, 200618 yr by sparkle

September 12, 200618 yr Author From http://www.silverlink-trains.com/ Release Mon. 11th Sep. 2006 Silverlink brings fans to the Robbie Williams concerts Robbie Williams is performing at the Milton Keynes Bowl on 14th,15th,16th 18th and 19th September and Silverlink will be helping many people to get to the concert and home again. Many of those attending the concerts – all of which are sold out - will be travelling by train, and on the way to the concert many will travel during the peak time so trains between 1600 and 1800 are likely to be very busy. After the concert Silverlink will be operating a regular service between Milton Keynes and London Euston to enable concert-goers to travel home. The concert is scheduled to finish at 22.30 and from 2300 on each of the concert nights trains will leave at roughly 20 minute intervals for London Euston with the last train at 0042. After this time it will not be possible to travel by train to London until the following morning. Services to Northampton after the concert will run as shown in the public timetable. Because of the large number of people attending the concerts people are strongly advised to allow at least 30 minutes walking time from the National Bowl to the railway station. A queuing system will be in operation at the Milton Keynes railway station for the return journey, so that customers can board the trains in a safe and orderly fashion. Leaflets will be provided on the day of each concert with a map of how to get to the bowl and instructions for the return. Hugh Jennings, Silverlink County’s Retail, Manager, said, “We have pulled out all the stops to ensure that everyone attending the concert and wishing to travel by train from the London or the Northampton direction can do so both there and back. I would just ask everyone to allow plenty of time to get to the station and not to wait until the very last train – you will not all get on it!! “I hope everyone has a really great time at the concert and I would like to thank my regular customers for their forbearance if the peak time trains on weekdays are busier than normal.†Back to search results
