September 24, 201410 yr Barbara should get some type of award for blocking Chris Brown! How nice to see a top 5 all over 50k!
September 25, 201410 yr Author ** 31 Paolo Nutini - Caustic Love (NEW) Just under 9,000 sold. Not bad considering I haven't seen any hype :o .
September 26, 201410 yr When was the last time an album sold 11 million copies? I know Wikipedia may not be accurate but it suggests she's already passed Usher's Confessions (2004) and is 9,000 short of Norah Jones' Come Away with Me (2002). If this is the case, the last album to sell as much as 21 in the US would be 'N Sync's No Strings Attached (2000) which at 12.6 million would surely take Adele a couple more years to surpass I'd think. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_best-...e_United_States

And that's assuming sales don't eventually just dip off completely. Then again, her new album may well give 21 a boost again.

September 28, 201410 yr And album sales aren't exactly increasing either. True but if there's one artist who breaks the rules it is certainly her. If 24 (or whatever) does for 21 what 21 did for 19 (dammit Adele!), who knows? :)
September 30, 201410 yr True but if there's one artist who breaks the rules it is certainly her. If 24 (or whatever) does for 21 what 21 did for 19 (dammit Adele!), who knows? :) I think 21 encouraging 19's album sales was under a different circumstance though  Adele was to an extent much lesser known in her 19 era than her 21 era so when she got this huge success with 21, her sales for 19 boosted. Now that she's so well known and 21 has sold so much already, 24 will give it a boost but I don't think it will have as big as an impact that 19 had if 24 is released this year. I may be completely wrong though :D Edited September 30, 201410 yr by Neil. S
September 30, 201410 yr I think the hype for Adele's new album will definitely bring 21 back to the charts, the only question is to what extent. Edited September 30, 201410 yr by Heezus
