Seeing as there's no thread yet and we usually have separate ones for each live show...

Theme: Number 1s

Guests: Pharrell ("Gust Of Wind") / Taylor Swift ("Shake It Off")

Before the show on Sunday, discuss what Monglian #1 itunes smash will be passed off as a number 1, who will inevitably sing Whitney or Mariah and who will be revealed as the wildcard!

Godddd I always hate #1's week because most of the songs never went #1 anywhere! Like back in 2010 when I think only 3 of the songs were actually number ones in the UK!
there's some really uninspired song choices.

To me it seems like they're desperately trying to prove that some of the acts are current or can be relevant by giving them modern song choices that don't even suit them. I sense there will be an overload of "YOU MADE IT YOUR OWN!!" tomorrow night though

Same -_-. Simon's comment on Chloe will refer to how he never heard ~that song~ sung like that and how she has her own identity and took something out of her comfort zone and made it work for her. He will also mention how she's been having somewhat of a hard time in the media and how her performance proves she's earned her place in the competition based on her talent. He will then smile widely with his arm resting on the back of Cheryl's chair.

I've been watching this show far too long.

JACK AND OVERLOAD GENERATION YASSSS

Paul was really good actually :o Never been a huge fan before but that was a great performance!

08.0 Paul Akister

Big improvement on last year for Paul, he probably get forgotten by the end of the show. :D

This does not suit Paul's voice very much... I think he did about the best he could with it though so it wasn't terrible, it was better than I expected when I heard the song choice.

01 Paul Akister - Ghost 7/10

Paul Atikter - Started off a little slowly, thought the verses were too low for him and it came across a bit weak. Towards the end of the song it really picked up when he could go for it vocally. A good first performance, not amazing, but very solid. - 7.0/10.0
