May 5, 201510 yr American radio is a complete mess, but it feels really good to keep seeing these positive updates and her climbing on the different formats. If only she had the video views to help propel it. :( It would've made things so much easier. I do hope radio will be far more supportive from the get-go with her 3rd single, whatever it may be. I'm kinda hoping she'll change her mind still. I listened to "Timebomb" in the car the other day and I just couldn't blast it. I do like the song and it's definitely different from anything on the radio, but I think "Got Love" or "Not on Drugs" might be more "summer feel-good, listen with the windows down on a car trip" kind of songs. On the other hand, she's made good choices so far, so maybe I just need to trust her judgement on this. If she does go with "Timebomb" I hope the video they shot is better and more accessible. I was also a bit on the fence about Timebomb as a single, and completely get what you're saying about you can't blast it in a car - the explosive chorus does come off as a bit too explosive for radio There's a lot of rumours about it being the next single but I can't recall any reliable confirmation yet? Her label did say they were considering Got Love, but I think the fact Timebomb and Thousand Miles have been in the mid section of the iTunes top 1500 kind of shows that either of the two would work well as singles With the lyrics and imagery of Habits and Talking Body, you'd initially expect Tove not to be the most accessible of artists but both becoming hits kind of turns staples on its head. Both have been successful at crossing over even to AC and rhythmic audiences and I'd like to think that the subjects they touch on and somewhat explicitally portray are what has drawn the GP in to Tove as an artist, and what they want/expect from her Like you said, I'm also hoping that Talking Body cements/has cemented her as an artist radio/the GP will support in future. Also hoping we get a high-budget music video for the next single. She was shooting something in LA in March which looks rather promising :D  Â
May 5, 201510 yr I wonder if 'Not On Drugs' could be pushed as a single again in the UK? I'm sure' Talking Body' will go top 15 in the UK this week which should be enough for radio backing. I think 'Talking Body' could peak next week rather than this week though as I doubt she will free fall down the charts. UK iTunes 13. Talking Body (Clean Edit) 63. Talking Body 96. Heroes 108. Talking Body (Kream Remix) 318. Stay High 337. Heroes 392. Timebomb 495. Thousand Miles 566. Stay High 758. Stay High 1491. Talking Body (Shift Key Remix)
May 5, 201510 yr #13 in midweeks. I agree with Lee that this could possibly peak next week. Unless Radio 1 take it off the playlist having not made the top 10 in the midweeks (which they have been known to do). It will take a few days for iTunes to overcome the cockup with the pre-orders. May 5, 201510 yr Talking Body is amazing, I feel so sexy whenever I listen to it. Her voice just sells everything, I even love that Heroes track she done with Alesso.

Hoping 'moments' will be pushed as a single at some point!
May 5, 201510 yr 'Not on Drugs' being pushed as a single ala 'Radar' 2.0 would most definitely not work, people are just not here for that song, they're here for 'Timebomb' and 'Thousand Miles'. A 3rd and 4th single couldn't be more obvious, though I do think 'My Gun' or 'Moments' would work as well, but iTunes cherrypicking proves otherwise
May 5, 201510 yr 13. Tove Lo - Talking Body (Clean Love Edit) 66. Tove Lo - Talking Body 113. Tove Lo - Talking Body (KREAM Remix)Â Surely top 10 combined on UK iTunes? :o Not when it's nowhere to be seen on the spotify top 100
May 5, 201510 yr There are now two original versions charting on iTunes, currently #55 and #307 :o The midweek seems a bit off tho, as if streaming has not been included? I'd think she'd be a lot lower than #13 seeing TB isn't even top 100 on Spotify?
May 5, 201510 yr Not when it's nowhere to be seen on the spotify top 100 Spotify doesn't contribute to the iTunes chart hunni

May 5, 201510 yr Aren't they charting because they're instant grats? (Though I do agree they should be the 3rd and 4th singles). They are instant grats, but they've consistantly been in the mid section of the iTunes top 1500 for quite a while now as apposed to charting and then bombing out like most instant grats, which I think for an artist like Tove kinda shows that there is demand for them as songs
May 5, 201510 yr Spotify doesn't contribute to the iTunes chart hunni I know. My point is that iTunes and spotify contribute to the official singles chart. No matter how many places it is on iTunes, if it's nowhere to be seen on spotify, chances are that it will miss the UK singles chart top 10 come Sunday Edited May 5, 201510 yr by Hadji
May 5, 201510 yr I know. My point is that iTunes and spotify contribute to the official singles chart Erm was that my point to begin with tho? I very clearly said UK iTunes Chart and not official singles chart...
May 6, 201510 yr Had a bit of a fright seeing the Clean Love Edit getting its first dark red update on kworb at #12, especially when the original versions aren't climbing as rapidly as I expected :drama:Â UK iTunes: 12. Tove Lo - Talking Body (Clean Love Edit) 51. Tove Lo - Talking Body 284. Tove Lo - Talking BodyÂ
May 6, 201510 yr looking at the sales, #14 and #15 are both selling at faster rates than Tove Lo now. So It's looking like she'll be around #15 by tomorrow or Thursday, Unless her streaming doesn't significantly increase, she'll be around #20 on Sunday.
May 6, 201510 yr On a more positive note: this is still excelling in the US, now #14 (+second version at #123) on iTunes with one The Voice track ahead of it. Also, another +.8M audience airplay increase today, so top 10 there is still a likely possibility http://atrl.net/forums/images/smilies/images/smilies/party.gif
