50. Avril Lavigne- Sk8er Boi

He was a boy, she was a girl. Can I make that any more obvious

Release: 2002

Peaks: #8 UK, #10 US

Starting off the countdown with the first of 4 entries is the amazing Avril Lavigne with her cracker of a single Sk8er Boi. I adore the lyriics and production to this song and Avril's vocals are stunning. This song is really catchy and I am literally always saying the lyrics.

49. Muse- Uprising

We will be victorious

Release: 2009

Peaks: #9 UK, #37 US

I love Muse so much and they have released many amazing songs. I have seen Muse at least twice and my favourite song by them is the lead single from The Resistance- Uprising. Uprising is so affective and the production on this song is stunning. It deserved to be so much bigger and is one of my favourite rock songs of all time

Muse's past couple eras have been amazing. "Uprising" and "Panic Station" are two of my all-time faves from them.

"Sk8er Boi" is one of Avril's best for sure.

"Push The Button", "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together", "Sweet Nothing" and "American Idiot" missing the top 50 thought

I agree with literally everything you said and American idiot was probably #51 :)

I love the majority of these songs. "My Heart Will Go On" is your favourite Celine's song?

Celine Dion- My Heart Will Go On

Uprising is epic, excellent choice! It's the song that made me properly love Muse and get into their older songs.

Sk8er Boi is a great Avril track but I'd say that about most of her singles! I think Sk8er Boi is more forgotten now than it should be.

I'm excited to see which songs from Lana and Taylor will be included! :D

I always liked Muse but I also think it was uprising as well that made me properly love them

And for a little hint: A Lana song will be coming up very very very soon :)

I didn't think Muse would be your thing! Not a big fan of them actually but Uprising is great, one of their best

I love rock music a lot more than I have really ever said much about on here. But then all of my favourite rock bands bar Kasabian haven't released anything this year which might be why :)

Uprising is just so amazing and glad to see you love it

48. Ella Henderson- Ghost

I Keep Going To The River To Pray

Release: 2014

Peaks: #1 UK, Not peaked yet in US

The first of 3 2014 songs in this countdown comes from the amazing Ella Henderson with her debut hit Ghost. The song is amazing and the production and lyrics are also fantastic. Ella's voice on this is stunning and I can never stop listening to it when I hear it.

47. Lana Del Rey- West Coast

Down on the west coast they got a sayin

Release: 2014

Peaks: #21 UK, #17 US

And you don't have to wait long until the 2nd 2014 song as Lana Del Rey's stunning lead single from Ultraviolence- West Coast- slots in at number 47. The key change in this song is fantastic and genius and Lana is great on this song like she is on all of them. This deserved to be so much bigger

This isn't going to be finished, my order literally changes everyday so it is not accurate so I am not doing it :)

Because of you is my favourite song ever. Battlefield, Mercy, Let It Go, When You're Gone, Video Games, Mine are all top 10 and Shake It Off was around 15-20

I'm a bit like that too

I rank my favourite songs of the year and then next time I rank them I decide I overrate or underrate some of the tracks and I'm forever ranking them
