Fantastic! Great to hear! Let us know what your fav song/songs are on the album!

My favourites are definitely These Days, Let in The Sun, Freeze, If You Want It and Get Ready For It.

This is easily my favourite of their post come back albums. Its very solid.

From the pics and videos I've seen it looks like an amazing show, a fun, happy, colourful show. Surprised that Up All Night and Affirmation made the setlist. Never thought they would do Up All Night live again (from a video from Glasgow I noted a slight lyric change though), but I'm not complaining as I do like the song :). A bit odd that they left out Higher Than Higher, as that is the next single. Would have preferred that one instead of Portrait.

Anyway, really looking forward to the show in Manchester later in May. The tickets arrived a few days ago so I'm ready to go! :)

You'll have a great great time! Hopefully the album will rebound into the top 5 at some point

The tour does look absolutely stunning. Pleased that its been received so well by the public. There must have been real pressure on them to maintain the high standard of previous tours. Howard seems to have come into his own of this tour - which I'm pleased about and I like the arrangement and visuals for the Flood.

I 'm surprised by some of the song choices and I wouldn't have include Affirmation, Up All Night or I Like It. I have a soft spot for the BW album and would have liked one or two of the ballads off that album on the tour. Still hoping that they swop Portrait for Higher Than Higher by the time they reach Manchester. Hope everyone going to Dublin and Belfast has a fab time.

Im happy Up All Night is on the list and i hope its on the Dublin set as its a big fave of mine.

Can't wait for you to finally see them live Pete! UAN is my favourite too!

Its been a long time coming so im really looking forward to it Kath. Ya i remember back in the day like myself you were an up all night fan too.

I've just realized there is a separate thread about the tour. No wonder nobody was replying to my comment in the other thread :) I'll post it again here, cause I'm too lazy to rephrase it :)

After watching most of the videos of the tour so far, I can honestly say the part I hate is the dance on Flaws. I think it looks weird, but most of all it's annoying because nobody seems to be paying attention to the song - and Flaws is one of the best, most honest songs on III. All those women in the audience scream like hormonal, brainless teenagers when Howard and Mark pull their shirts up.

Whoever came up with that idea deserves a good smack.

If they wanted a contemporary dance, they had enough professional dancers to choose from. I thought Howard and Mark were in the band as musicians and singers, not as dancers. On Flaws, they neither sing nor dance - those awkward, clumsy movements can hardly be called a dance.

Am I the only one feeling like that towards that moment in the show?

On the other hand, I discovered that my favorite moment so far of the show is I Like It.

I would have preferred Higher than Higher instead of UAN, though, cause I really dislike that song.

Gary's voice seems to sound better than ever on this tour. I was expecting him to have trouble hitting some of the high notes, since he's older now, but, surprisingly, he hits them with ease and has quite some outstanding moments on I Like It, Relight, Portrait.

I like TT as a 5 piece and I love the Circus, I am absolutely no friend of GB, but that is a personal taste.

What I say about TT and the tour is based on articles and observations and personal opinion. The ticket sales until now though proof the concerns right. Well, on the other hand, there are still 9 months to sell the tickets

I know my reply comes a bit late, but I can't help myself, since I've just read your post. You do know that Robbie hasn't exactly been exempt of criticism himself, right? The review of his gig in Dubai was on point - I rarely agree with reviews, but that was so coherent it was hard to disagree with - and it was by no means positive. I'd rather TT toured small but with elegance, rather than embarrass themselves on a large scale with awful covers, awful vocals, awful clothes and awful behaviour. I'm quite pleased that the criticism for TT as a 3 piece came before the tour, with positive reviews afterwards, than with great hype before and even greater disappointment afterwards, as in Robbie's case.

It is a matter of personal taste, but I do have to question a person's taste when it's based purely on the artist's success and not on his talent.

Robbie USED to be an entertainer - singer, he was never - but now he's not even that anymore. What some call charisma, I call a sad parody of one's past self.

I don't know how good a live act TTIII are. They have not proved it yet. And as I said, I like TT5, music of TT4, don't like this album, but despite GB not only because of the tax avoidance and his friendship to NMS. he is a great songwriter. but he is greedy and I dislike that his tours as a solo artist is 75 percent of TT ones. Imagine Robbie doing it.

And I am interested in them as Robbie is still part of tem.

Sorry, you don't know how good of a live act TT3 are? Are you serious? In what are they different to TT4 or TT5? You have Gary, the lead singer, and Mark and Howard on the harmonies as ever - what's changed. Jason didn't bring much and Robbie couldn't harmonize if his life depended on it. And seriously, have you ever heard Robbie live or do you ignore his vocal deficiencies on purpose?

1. You dislike Gary for tax avoidance reasons, but you don't dislike Robbie who's been doing the same thing? At least we know that Gary paid it all back - so your greedy argument dies as well/ And no, Gary did not owe 32 million pounds. TT INVESTED 20 or 30 million pounds - if you calculate the tax owed by each of them on their share of investment, you'll see that Gary didn't owe even 10 millions. Considering he DONATED almost 6 million pounds of his solo gigs during XF, I'd say he covered his share and more. But now we also know he has officially paid the money back as TAX - not that he was legally forced to. Again, please bring us some solid evidence that he's greedy, other than your own dislike of him, based on the fact that he's 1000 times better than Robbie - which most Robbie fans can't take.

2. Why would Gary not be friends with NMS? He has every reason to be grateful to the man who saw the potential in him and made him famous - something Robbie should also learn. Why should he hate Nigel simply because Nigel didn't see any talent in Robbie - Robbie himself has admitted he had no talent when he was in TT, all he had was ego and a drugs addiction?

3. Maybe you didn't notice that Robbie's previous tour consisted of swing covers and his current tour is based heavily on horrible covers and on songs written by Guy Chambers? At least Gary was singing songs he wrote himself - and that he had the grace to lend to the other guys. Out of 20+ songs, only ~7 songs were credited to TT and we all know that, even so, they were a Barlow creation - aka Patience and Shine.

Greedy again? The 2nd time around he chose to split the credits and the money, although the successful hits kept belonging to him.

Please try again.

With this, I'll end my rant about Robbie, since he's of no interest to me as an artist or as a person and the only reason I'd ever go to one of his concerts - for free, for course - would be to wave a big banner under his nose with " I love the TALENTED Gary" :P

I'm usually a calm person and very reasonable, but, when I see this repeated non-sense based on no evidence whatsoever, I lose my cool and I'm harsher in my saying.

As for you Kath, you have every right to post - freedom of speech and all that -, but as you always like to say about Gary: it's legal, but is it moral? Like I've said in the other thread, is it normal to be looking up threads about persons you detest just to have a go at them and to rile up fans? I dislike a lot of persons, Robbie included, but I'm not posting negative comments not even on the yt videos that are so accessible.

Why have you brought my name into your snoozefest Milly? My last post in here was a pleasant post to congratulate Pete (to whom I've been chatting to on here for almost TEN YEARS - way, way before you came along - and when I was a fan!) because he's going to be watching them for the first time (admittedly he's missing out on Jason). I don't know what you've got your knickers in a twist for really!

In case you have short memory, let me remind you what you've posted THIS YEAR:

I was once moderator of this forum. I think I have every right to come in here now and again and post what a gobshite Gary Barlow is!

As usual, you don't address the core of the problem, instead you attack - obviously the best arm you've got, since your arguments are lacking completely.

Nobody forced you to read my "snoozefest", since it wasn't addressed to you. I won't apologize to you for actually being able to build my discourse around facts!!

I exercised my right to freedom of speech, just like you do. Just because you expressed your opinion a few months ago doesn't mean that its validity can't be challenged anymore. Not to mention that the fact that you're still here after all these months makes my point even more valid.

Don't get me wrong, though, please. I'm not getting "my knickers in a twist" for anything; on the contrary, I have a deep sympathy for your obvious lack of a better occupation.

I think you'll find that my 'Gary Barlow is a gobshite' comment was incidental to a rather complimentary post. I've checked through ALL my comments in this particular thread and there is only that one post that says what a gobshite he is! All the others are comments on what good live shows take that do (or did). Besides - how come it has taken you this long to join in the TT page on BJ? At one point there was only me and Pete in here! My chats with Pete go on LONG LONG before you joined - so don't tell me not to come in here!

I do have sympathy for you too Milly - for totally different reasons! :)

Complimentary post? Next to your name? Isn't that an oxymoron? :)

Oh, Kath, if that's all you have to fight back, me being a newcomer on this forum, I really pity you. If you really want to know, I'm actually having a life and, until recently, I couldn't afford to waste time on forums; now, I have a bit of free time, so I'm using it on a passion of mine. I think I've indulged you enough with my answer.

It's worrying though that you've been here for so long, as you claim:)

Spare your sympathy. If I'm reading correctly the implications, just remember next time that I'm the one being coherent in more than one language; but, if you really have sympathy for me, please talk to me in my own language - this is an international forum, after all. Otherwise, please, stop insulting my intelligence!

Agreed! Higher than Higher as the flying song would of made sense. I don't really like Portrait on III, probably the only song I'd skip so will be interesting to see if it works with the car

It's a funny one with Portrait, since not many people seem to warm up to it. I like the verses, but I'm not so mad about the chorus and, frankly, I don't even get what "portrait 25" means. Overall, I like the song, but I agree that HTH would have worked better.

Would also be nice for other European countries to have some kind of show.

Your kind wishes didn't reach the boys' ears :P

We're still praying, as a last resort, that they'll broadcast the concert on June, the 19th in cinemas worldwide, not just UK. We deserve that much.

As a Romanian fan of Gary, I got the wrong end of the stick :) Instead of having Gary and TT performing here, we get Robbie this year :)

As much as I love TT, when it comes to touring, I can't help feeling a certain "arrogance" (for lack of a better word) from the boys when it comes to choosing the countries they'll play for. Sometimes, I wonder if they know that Europe is more than UK, Germany and Denmark.

I'm not sure it's arrogance Milly. It's more likely a realization that they would struggle to sell tickets. The overheads for this tour must be staggering and I guess they would need to fill out large venues to make it pay.

They didn't tour very much at the point of their comeback so they've never consolidated a firm fan base outside of the UK and Ireland. That said I'm sure that international fans would be content for want of a better word with a small tour without the lavish production, and it would be a nice gesture by TT.

There is some indication that they may tour outside of the UK and the few existing European dates currently available; mostly likely Dubai. I do think that the US, South America and other European countries such as Romania would garner enough interest to possibly fill smaller venues. If it's ever going to happen I think it will be soon. I always had the impression that Jay was reluctant to tour extensively and seemed to struggle with the pressure of performing. The other three may be more enthusiastic about venturing further afield.

As for tour song list - I still don't like Portrait and think it's a strange choice , but I have warmed to I Like It and like the opening sequence.

I'm not deluded. I don't expect them to fill stadiums or even arenas here. Every time I tweeted Gary, I asked him for a small, acoustic set. I'd be more than happy with that. I'm not even that mad about big productions, as long as he brings his voice with him :)

As I've said before, completely unknown artists manage to fill one of our biggest venues, with a capacity of 4000 seats - I', not exaggerating when I use the term "unknown".

If TT did a gig there, just one night, I'd be over the moon.

I hope that at least the US fans get their wish, since Gary has been teasing them for a while.

I have similar feelings to you about an acoustic set. I would really love to hear a stripped back version of the songs in smaller venues but I think people now expect massive productions. My favourite album is the one they did at Abbey Road - really lovely.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet - they may still be some shows in Europe. The cinema release is a limited one in the UK and as far as I am aware it's only showing in a few places, although that may change. A live broadcast in cinemas would at least be something for overseas fans. I remember when the the BW O2 show was screened in cinemas. It was fantastic to see on the big screen and having been to the live show I noticed so many things I'd initially missed.
