Congrats! I had hoped you would get tickets! Roll on 2015! Hopefully on the back of a successful single and album!

I'm glad you got tickets to see them Pete - I know from our conversations here over the years that you've always wanted to but have always missed out. You will have a great time - from seeing them nine times now - I can guarantee that their shows are a spectacle.

Kath are you going to try and get tickets? 9 times is pretty impressive!

Delighted for you Aphrodite, it is wonderful we all have got tickets. I would think Kath wont be going, my understanding from her posts her in the forum is she isnt a fan anymore, but going to see them 9 times is impressive and i am sure she has some wonderful memories.

Not this time. I've absolutely no interest in them now whatsoever. I wasn't all that fond of the last album anyway and this one doesn't seem to be much better.

I must admit though that I think those ticket prices are bloody ridiculous! The last time I went to one of their Arena Tours (Beautiful World) the face price of the ticket was somewhere around the £49 mark. And to think - they only need to split the bulk of the profits three ways now!!!!! Considering wages have gone down (and that is all the supporting cast will get) Take That really are getting greedier by the minute!

I wouldn't even pay the prices they're asking now to see Elvis Presley if they dug him and John Lennon up to do a combined concert!

A word of warning - DON'T buy any merchandise. The programmes may be an exception as you'll probably want a memento. I've bought a programme from two of the tours (The Beautiful World one was £15 and The Circus one was £25 - both were good quality - the BW one slightly less so - although its USP was it was made of recycled paper - still overpriced) and I'm keeping them as one day - some mug may buy one at a boot sale from me one of these days. The other stuff however is absolute crap quality. A lady sat next to us at one of the Circus gigs bought a 'silver' (white metal) charm bracelet and it fell to bits the minute she got it out of the bag. It really does annoy me the merchandise sold at events - it IS something that the artist can have some sort of say in (as they get a cut of the profits there too). I've bought two concert tee-shirts for my son - and Arctic Monkeys one (£25) and a Billy Joel one (£25). I can tell you - the AM one is absolutely awful - the wording started to come off straight away and the material its made of isn't too great. The Billy Joel one however - is fabulous. Really good quality cotton and the imaging seems to be inset in the fabric rather than overlaid onto it - so it hasn't faded a bit (and its been washed loads of times).

I got a Progress programme and it was well overpriced for what it was, literally just pictures.

How much was your Progress programme Jay? I have to admit - as pricey as The Circus one was - it was exceptionally high quality (although £25 is still too steep) but essentially - just pictures. The Arctic Monkeys' one was only about £6 - but it was incredibly cheap looking - as a memento of the evening it sufficed though (wish I'd stuck with just that and not bothered with the Tee-Shirt) but what can you do when your kid says he wants one? The Beautiful World programme however was EXTREMELY overpriced - at £15 SEVEN YEARS ago. It was supposed to have been made on recycled paper (which was extremely shit quality) but hey! they're helping to save the planet!

If memory serves I think it was about the same Kath, £25. I remember looking through it expecting something interesting to read and....nothing.

However, Gary's SISYL programme was very good. Had pages of interviews and was a tenner.

I never buy merchandise as its always over priced, years ago I used to buy a t shirt but those days are over.
Wembley is expensive in any rate. A couple of beers etc set you back over £10. Luckily I have a close friend who manages an area in the stadium and looks after us when you go for football or concerts

I didn't get tickets in the pre-sale yesterday so I didn't have much hope of succeeding today, but I got tickets for Manchester 30 May. Very happy! :D

Now I'm waiting for the European dates to be released. If they will do a show not too far away from me and at a good date I might look for tickets for that too.

Great, congrats Cat!

So pleased we have all got tickets!

With new dates added i hope the people that missed out get them, the demand for Take That is still there, tickets sales have been excellent.

Do you know what Pippa? I went to a 10CC concert a few years back and I happened to be sitting next to a fellow Take That fan (I was still a fan at the time and looking forward to The Circus tour). We got chatting and it transpired that she had managed to buy tickets for EVERY SINGLE ONE of the tour tickets. I don't know where she got the money from - or how the hell she'd managed to get time off work to go to the concerts (maybe she was just very rich and had a husband who couldn't wait to get shut of her) I didn't want to ask. Anyway - what I'm trying to say is that TT will always have great ticket sales because they DO have a lot of fanatical fans like this one.

I must admit - my family feared for my sanity when I went to as many gigs as I went to! I was almost as mad - glad I woke up to be honest!

Having said that - if Jeff Lynne announced he was going to do a tour - I think I'd get to as many gigs as I possibly could!!!!

How people afford it is what i question, that said,if i was in a financial position to do so i doubt i would go that many times to the same concert. The magic is seeing the concert and the buzz of a live concert and when you go once you are left with such special memories.I would believe going to the same concert over and over would diminish those memories. The concerts you attended Kath were different concerts promoting different albums etc which makes it very different.

Every established act has the long term fanatical fans it comes part of the journey of music and acts will always do well on tour. Take That doing as well as they are over 20 years later is an amazing and wonderful achievement especially when you factor they are still able to sell albums in large quantities and are still having hit singles. Combined it is a true testament of their success and talent.

I should add that three of the nine I went to were gifts from other people! One of them I went to to combine a visit to a city I'd always wanted to visit (it was also possibly my favourite concert - the BW gig in Belfast).

That makes sense the way you approached it. The Circus is what i feel was their best tour to date, it was a concert, a show, an event and a musical spectacular all in one. I feel no one could ever deny Take That really know how to put on a show and when they go live on tour they do what it says on the tin unlike many other artists.
