Giorgio Moroder Talks About Britney Collab

"Britney actually came to me. She asked me if I was interested in doing an old song, which obviously I liked and I knew. She came to the studio and did it relatively fast and absolutely gave her special touch.”

His song with kylie is already in the itunes chart. I wonder when the song with Britney will be released.

Britney Spears "did a good job" with collaboration, Giorgio Moroder reveals

Legendary producer Giorgio Moroder reveals to OfficialCharts.com that he has yet to finish his track with Britney Spears for his upcoming album.

Giorgio Moroder has opened up about working with Britney Spears on his upcoming album.

The legendary producer, whose as-yet-untitled LP marks his first solo release in 30 years, revealed the star "did a good job" with the unnamed track but has yet to finish recording it.

“With Britney, I still have to work with her," he told Official Charts. We started with the main part [of the song]but I’ve added a bridge to it, so as soon as she’s free we have to finish that.

"She’s difficult to get in contact with! One thing I noticed is that the singers themselves are so involved these days. One of the problems with working with Britney is that now she’s so busy - for example she's in Vegas - and she has contracts that say she can’t do certain things. She cannot do a video because of I don’t know exactly what. It’s different from the way I used to work."

Asked how the collaboration came about, he explained: “I spoke to her on the phone. She called me and told me she wanted to do the song – it was her idea and she wanted to do it together in the studio, but unfortunately I was in Europe.

"I heard the track and I only changed a little bit – she did a good job with it actually. I hope she finds the time to do the little bridge – it’s just eight bars. I’m going to meet her soon and tell her!"

Damn no video! C'mon Britney don't be so lazy!

I don't get how a contract would prevent her from shooting a video. It makes no sense.

Let's say it's a song which came out about 30 years ago as an a cappella, just a voice. If you can figure out what it is, I didn't tell you.

Rumored songs:

Laurie Anderson - O Superman

Bobby McFerrin - Don't Worry, Be Happy

The Flying Pickets - Only You

The Nylons - Happy Together

Jane - It's A Fine Day

Suzanne Vega - Tom's Diner

PLEASE BE IT'S A FINE DAY OR TOM'S DINER!

^^^

Just to add to that

Put your thinking caps on - what song is Acapellaney Spears singing?

The title of Britney's cover on Moroder's upcoming album, tentatively called "74 Is The New 24," is on lockdown from record execs. Much like everything in Brit's career, they want it a surprise - unlike her pop counterparts like Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus who share what they're working on as they're working on it. All we know from Moroder is the original is three decades old, and Britney's idea.

"Britney came to my management company with the idea to do a particular song with me, which was interesting because usually it's the other way, with the producer offering a song," Moroder tells Rolling Stone. Although he won't say what song she picked ("the record company doesn't want me to tell you"), he offered some clues: "Let's say it's a song which came out about 30 years ago as an a cappella, just a voice. If you can figure out what it is, I didn't tell you."
Rolling Stone speculates "O Superman," Bobby McFerrin's "
" or the Flying Pickets' cover of "
."

Exhale members speculate it's The Nylons' "Happy Together."

Moroder said previously her sound has "no effects, no nothing," adding it sounds "really natural.”

"To my big surprise, acts like Sia or Britney were. . ." He pauses. "I was gone for 30 years, right? So I'm not somebody who has had a few hits a few years ago."

Are you ready for Britney's acapella cover?

Rumored songs:

The Flying Pickets - Only You

Yes please!
