Ooooh it's time to talk about the truth now, what are they waiting for? :snif:

If they have been dropped then that is sad, of course, but perhaps not completely unexpected. I guess there was only so long that they could survive diminishing returns, and a #38 single & a Greatest Hits being their worst album seller yet was not a good sign at all.

Their poor management made the Greatest Hits era flop. It could've been massive and revived their career with the right choices / management. Firstly "808" would've been a better lead single - WAYWF is unbelievably poor and generic and was never going to be a hit. 808 is generic too, but less than WAYWF and at least it's a more interesting song which can be performed better live. Secondly, they should've done a long radio tour to get radios playing it on the week it premiered and the week before release. Thirdly, they should've release the album a week after the single. Fourthly, dropping the price to 59p within good time on pre-order or release week if its flopping to save its position. Admittedly, their TV promotion was probably the best they could've hoped for in August.

Then in November, they should've released a slightly revamped version of Walking Through The Desert with a bigger chorus to keep the album selling towards Christmas. Maybe even tried to get that elusive X Factor performance finally. If not, Strictly would've almost certainly given them a slot thanks to Frankie being on the show.

^ I agree it was their management, but I think their promo was good, but not perfect.

Firstly, they should have been popping up on TV/Radio shows regularly in the run up to the release. They were nowhere, with no radio support up until release week. (apart from a short radio tour 6 weeks prior to the release). Also, even though Tumbled was decent promo a while later (though would have been better the weekend before). They stopped promo on the Wednesday of release week while was silly. There were certainly more places they could have done promo, albeit nothing big. "Weekend" on the Saturday for example, lets you perform twice.

I also think regular TV adverts would have given them quite the significant increases in sales. It's really incredible seeing the boosts albums often have on iTunes from a 30 second advert - sometimes more than an actual promotional slot. It was a massive face-palm moment when they posted a TV ad for the album and then it was never shown. But I guess they just didn't have the budget.

I don't think 808 would have done any better than WAYWF, I think they are both good, but radios had snubbed them regardless. 808 Ft. Angel Haze might have done a little better though.

^ all of this + #BlameMarvin #BlameAlaiaMai #BlamePeter #BlameHolidays

I personally blame the girls. As much as I love Vesus, Una seems to be the only one who wants the band to continue. Even though she is the worst dancer (LOL) you can see when they perform she puts the most effort into it. I think the other 4 have been wanting the band to split since Disco Love.

And then Joe be sassy and all with me about my long posts. :hand:

Listen, you ho'.

I love your long posts. I was expecting one, like right now. We need to keep this forum alive since they're dropped now.
I always thought Joe and Shadow invented long posts

How prominently?

It's weird - I was just thinking today that I wish Notirous could get a little boost from somewhere as it deserves to get silver and could be as little as 50 sales away.
