Posted September 12, 200618 yr Just got a hold of this and here's my review for y'all: http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/1707562.JPG Title| The Dutchess Artist| Fergie Released| 18/09/06 1] Fergalicious - Ugh this song is such a letdown, for 4 minutes 52 seconds this doesn't half go on. Will.I.Am's vocals reverberate around in the background. Disappointing :( 4/10 2) Clumsy - A slow one here, unorigional vocals and a heavily pre-tooled song. Some cringe-worthy vocals "I don't stay single for long, I get bitten by the love-bug" and "you've got me stumbling, you've got my sinking" etc etc. Another long track that goes on for too long and not enough of a beat there, it sounds in parts like you're playing "Pacman" 4/10 3) All That I Got (The Make Up Song) - As the title suggests another slow song, once more there's little to grab here and it sounds like a typical dull RnB ballad, the words fail to connect with the listener, a real filler. 3/10 4) London Bridge (Oh $h!t) - On the album you get the explicit version of the first single, I'm shocked to say in comparision to what the listener's been treated to thus far the song is scarily good. Finally some sort of hook and something that is vaguely decent. Yes the song is "Oh So $h!t" in reality but look what its surrounded by... I would give this a decent score but the song is destroyed by a horrid interlude at the end, a VERY American British accent-clad pair of "lads" talking with nasty "stereotypical" music in the background. Its just AWFUL. 2/10 5) Pedestal - A shorter track from Fergie here, once heavily pre-tooled and Fergie once more (rather irritatingly) skips from the verse into something of a bridge once more, silly lyrics plague this song once more "Pedestal is falling down, falling down" in some sort of mock up to the nursery rhyme "London Bridge is falling down", too much clashing once more. 3/10 6) Voodoo Doll - Once more another RnBish track, with slight reggae fusions. Fergie continues too"ooh" and "ahh" throughout this track. Very filler once more, it really doesn't grab you. Too long once more, production sounds poor. Get the idea? 3/10 7) Glamorous - This isone of the first examples of where I've come across an artist directly stealing the beat from a song, this was the beat to the origional version of "Luxurious" by Gwen Stefani (Feat. Ludacris) which was later altered and made rubbish. Where is the origionality Fergie? I just hear Gwen here. Another repetitive peace of bile. The Ludacris rap isn't even changed. RIP-OFF. 0/10 8) Here I Come - Yet another stolen beat, Fergie, Ferg :o Its getting embaressing now. Finally though a song that has some bazow to it after some anysmal doss thus far. Once more Fergie can't hold a verse, ok lyrics = one of the (sadly) best tracks on the album thus far. 5/10 9) Velvet - From the offset its clear "Velvet" is ANOTHER slow song, again Fergie "ai ai aiiiis" for us, not that the listener cares all to much. Lyrics that do nothing. Boring + filler. 1/10 10) Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal) - A gutair! Woah Fergie you're spoling us! We lose the repetitive (and unorigional) RnB beats and replace it with a more chilled out Pop/gutair ballad that is actually good. Quite a shock, the tiitle makes you think early Britney and its fair to say she could sing this (and pull it off better too). But I have to give Fergie something on this most unorigional of records. A decent track. 7/10 11) Mary Jane Shoes - Another TOTAL RIP-OFF. She totally rips off bob Marley on this track "No Woman No Child" becomes "Mary Jane Shoes". Its becoming WTF? Fergie do something at least SLIGHTLY origional. This scores nothing again because its a TOTAL rip-off. YES Rita Marley may have given permission for her to use it but the sentiments lost, she's just copied a classic BADLY. 0/10 12) Losing My Ground - Well yes, it sounds like Maroon 5's "Harder To Breathe", the gutairs are back for the first of the "bonus" tracks (YES we're already there), this song stinks pure and simple. Too long and uninteresting. 4/10 13) Finally - The piano comes out for track #13, Ferg tells us about her dream, Cinderella, her classic dream. You wait for it to go somewhere, it doesn't. 2/10 14) Get Your Hands Up / Maybe We Can Take A Ride - Another pair of stinky tracks and we get them put together into one long 7:08 long track  once more nothing grabs you. Dull and filler. 1/10 One of the most unorigional and abysmal albums I've encountered this year. Ripping off so many songs, truely Hideous. [27.85%] Edited September 12, 200618 yr by Jake
September 12, 200618 yr Ive downloaded it but tracks 11-14 downloaded - listening now and the first two songs are rubbish whilst the 3rd one is good so far.
September 12, 200618 yr From the tracks ive heard 1) Fergalicious - 4/10 - Nothing special this but i think its so funny the lyrics are hilarious to. 2) Clumsy - 0/10 - Urgh cant be bothered to write about this its so rubbish 3) All That I Got (The Make Up Song) - 7/10 - Like this song, good R'N'B ballad though the lyrics are a bit silly at times. 4) London Bridge (Oh $h!t) - 0/10 - I hate this so much, dire chavvy rubbish and gives you a headache. 5) Pedestal - 1/10 - This sounds similar to London Bridge and is boring dire and just dull. 6) Voodoo Doll - 3/10 - Nothing great here, sounds similar to everything else again and rubbish insturmental. 7) Glamorous - 3/10 - Boring song and is a rip off of that Gwen Stefani song, nothing special. 8) Here I Come - 4/10 - Slightly catchy though its annoyingly samey again. 9) Velvet - 3/10 - Its ok in fact maybe not ok its rubbish and boring slow ballad only managed 55 seconds of it. 10) Big Girls Don't Cry (Personal) - 6/10 - One of 'decent' songs though its not amazing, it is quite a good song and much better than most of the other songs. She should of put the songs she did for Poseidon soundtrack on as they were stunning. Overall: 3.1/10 - Rubbish and dull, limp and chavvy and i doubt the other songs im yet to hear will be better. September 13, 200618 yr I so agree with everything you said. It's probably one of the worst albums that have leaked recently. I was expecting a much more upbeat album, but no, she comes up with a dull boring album full of equal sounding songs -_-
September 13, 200618 yr TBH I dont agree with your music taste at all  :( No offense Pedestal, Glamorous, Big girls dont cry, Clumsy, and here i come are all good. And those are the only songs ive heard. Ill be buying.
September 13, 200618 yr We get the point...you don't like Fergie. It's a good effort; some nice Pop songs, a couple of lovely ballads & a few urban tunes, with attitude. It's worth a listen.
September 13, 200618 yr Author I'll try not to be rude to you JDL, I wrote a review that was my opinion. Please don't be rude :) I don't get why you were the only one to be rude either :( Awwww :(
September 13, 200618 yr We all like different music, the world would be boring if we all loved the same thing. So it's good to show your opinions to what music you like really
