December 13, 201410 yr Love Me Harder :heart: Really gutted it keeps stalling outside the top 10, really should be huge here. Best song this era now for me I think, everything she's putting out at the moment is fantastic. One More, thank you v much for the discovery of this song and Elliphant. Haven't listened to hear EP much but really hoping to hear more from her in 2015. Night Changes is stunning, really hoping it breaks the top 10 this week. Shame they won't be performing it on XF too because I think it'd be the sort of song to get a good boost from it. The album is very solid though so I'll be happening with anything as the next single.. Fancy took a while to grow but it really is a huge jam. Glad it had such longevity and is hopefully a bit of a 2010s classic now !
December 14, 201410 yr Author Fancy :wub: Completely agree with your comment, at first I really thought it'd kill her career dead even! Night Changes is lovely too but I've really given it a chance in recent days. It's that rare thing, a GOOD 1D ballad :o The vamps album is very good Fancy is definitely one of the best songs this year, it is so amazing :wub: Night changes is great (especially Harry on it) and love me harder is also very good :wub: Glad you're liking so much :D Love Me Harder :heart: Really gutted it keeps stalling outside the top 10, really should be huge here. Agree about LMH, her best for me too <3 yay for Elliphant - she NEEDS to properly breakthrough next year *.* I would normally be very gutted at them not singing it, but they're singing one of my favourite album tracks anyway so hopefully the album gets a good boost :D

December 14, 201410 yr Author Some boys they just can't eat it whole HW6wI0Z1tH0 17. Michael Jackson - Xscape Do You Know Where Your Children Are / Love Never Felt So Good / Chicago 18. Neon Jungle - Welcome To The Jungle Braveheart / Bad Man / Sleepless In London Neon Jungle have had a huge year for me. In the first half of the year i was very obsessed with them and still believe they're one of the most exciting pop groups to arise in a long time. The killer music with stomping beats and rousing lyrics are matched with a unique styling and brash attitude which i completely eat up. They also seemingly followed me wherever i went around the country and i'd find them playing in random clubs whichever city i was in. I got a chance to witness them live in Glasgow and along with hearing their hit singles played throughout the night, they gave out a fun night. The album is a mixed bag but largely enjoyable. Controversial (but beautiful) cover songs litter it but their true talent comes with the awe-inspiring club bangers. The louder the better~ And Michael Jackson's - my #1 artist of ALL TIME 2nd posthumous album really should be considered his first. The album did not come across as a blatant cash-in of the legend's talent, instead it was met with a very close appreciation to the perfectionism of the artist when he was alive. A clever touch to include the original versions alongside the remastered, and with a fitting homage offered by Justin Timberlake, the album offered an insight into some of the hidden moments of MJ's career. Though the album stands nowhere near the ones we got when he was alive, or the freshness or rawness of his vocals in those, it was still a wonderful nostalgic piece and a reminder that there never has been, nor never will be another king of pop. It's an escape into his mind at its most innocent and tender and for that i am actually thankful for the reprise.
December 14, 201410 yr Welcome to the jungle is Veyr good (standouts being louder + can't stop the love for me) and xscape was surprisingly ypretty good as well (my favourite was that song that was over an advert, I think it was called something like slave is a rhythm)
December 14, 201410 yr O, it's Michael. I didn't like Neon Jungle initially but 'Welcome to the Jungle' was a brilliant piece of pop :wub: Unfortunately I didn't really like a lot of their album material. Bad Man's nice but... you know. I didn't love it as opposed to what I was originally expecting the songs on the album to be (I don't know how to explain it!) I was going to buy Michael Jackson's album when it first came out before these 'cashing out' and 'disrespectful' claims started. Unfortunately it influence my opinion :( I love 'Love Never Felt So Good' which I found myself playing a lot this year!
December 14, 201410 yr oh yeah, where do broken hearts go is one of my fave album tracks too, hoping for a single announcement soon !

Another highlight for me too :D O, it's Michael. 'Bad Man' is life-enchancing. Those claims aren't really true with this album :( it's very honest to him and his legacy i feel. Oh well </3 oh yeah, where do broken hearts go is one of my fave album tracks too, hoping for a single announcement soon ! Fingers crossed :D
December 14, 201410 yr Author I'm in love with you and you will never know abXzR8J7aHY 34. Sam Smith - Leave Your Lover 35. Oscar and the Wolf – Princes A failed BJSC entry (one of two this year) kicks off proceedings by Oscar and the Wolf, brought to my attention by Bra, i quickly snatched it off him because i realised it was a very big and important song. I don't know where it fits in with the rest of the music i listened to this year, but i know it's so dark, so brooding, so beautiful and so mysterious that i will forever return to it and be transported to its eery, aural setting. It's one of those songs that seems so empty yet so full of everything that it's quite confusing. I dare you to listen to it and not be affected in some way though. One of the boys. And Sam Smith's final appearance in the singles chart (yes, this is my favourite song from him in case i haven't mentioned that before :)) is the gorgeous 'Leave Your Lover'. From a man that i pretty much despised after his debut, it had to take something spectacular to make me pay attention to him, and here we have that moment in all of its glory. Yet another ballad from him, but this seems to be the most personal for him and it really shows in the emotion of the vocals and the poignancy of the lyrics. So relateable too: who HASN'T wanted a secret admirer to leave who they're with because you know you can offer me? Heart-breaking stuff.
December 16, 201410 yr Author Stupidly think you had it under control IDvu1ehPq0g 32. Beyoncé ft. Drake – Mine 33. Banks - Begging For Thread Two leading ladies for me this year. The first, Banks had one of my most hotly anticipated albums and she certainly delivered. This was a single, much like the album it came from, that took its time to properly hit me. I still have no idea what she is begging for but the song is a stomper and one of her best. The initial beat when it kicks in is shiver-inducing and her voice is so intoxicating, proud and powerful throughout. She really knows who she is as an artist and it's so exciting to hear an artist take such pride in their own ego and voice like she does here. And from a hugely anticipated one to another that came out of nowhere. An album track from Beyoncé that i have been vying to be pushed as a single for the past 12 months, but as it looks like that won't happen i'll give it the recognition it deserves here instead. In a dark and masterfully brooding album, this stands out as one of the darkest, one of the most masterful and one of the most brooding. The atmosphere she creates is second to known and Drake's inclusion really sets it above the other album tracks.
December 16, 201410 yr I still have no idea what she is begging for I like to imagine she's waiting impatiently after midnight on a Sunday for Martin to post the brand new iTunes thread. We've all been there.
December 16, 201410 yr O hai again :hi: I didn't see your sunday post :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o Ergh, Sam Smith :puke: No. Beyonce :cheer: I love Mine :heart:, my little sister doesn't like the video, she thinks the white-painted girl is scary like the Northampton Clown :S One of my favorite songs from 'Goddess' along with 'This is what it Feels like' :wub:, I think the entire album as a whole is solid. Oh, and isn't it obvious, she's beggin' for THREAD. It's literally in the name :/ Maybe she wants to be a cat or something, IDK. v~swagalicious chart Bal, keep it coming Edited December 16, 201410 yr by NellyXmas. S
December 16, 201410 yr Mine is stunning, really wish it got single recognition but ah well. I love it how beyonce is slaying us with those haunting vocals and then the tempo picks up and drake starts doing his thing :wub: lovely! Beggin For Thread is the best from Banks for me too, took me a while to get her but I do still love this. Drowning is v good too. I listened to another track from her too but that was rly boring :(
December 16, 201410 yr Begging for thread :wub: I Wish i had charted it now. I not really a fan of banks though but some of her music is Gorgeous this being an example;
December 16, 201410 yr Beggin For Thread is good but doesn't top the other songs I've heard from her (Drowning and This Is What It Feels Like, the former actually nearly made my top 100) Some of the recent output of popular non A-list females has been surprisingly good actually (Moko/Banks/Tinashe/Marina/Jessie Ware/Grimes/fka twigs have all made v tunealicious tunes)
December 17, 201410 yr L O V E 'Beggin for Thread' - still to decipher what exactly it's about but I love the swagger in the "my tracks are better" middle 8, which makes me think it's about another music artist maybe? great thread AS EVER, sorry I haven't commented before but I have been reading + loving!!
