Ellie Goulding - Beating Heart Lots of Buzzjack faves appear here, with Ellie, Iggy, Ariana, The Saturdays, Paloma and Lily all appearing. They all have at least one other song in the Top 200 though! All apart from The Saturdays, lol flops though they state they're not giving up. I loved Maverick Sabre in his first era but his first single from his (hopefully still to be released) second album failed to match that quality, as the public seemed to agree. December 16, 201410 yr I feel like the title of this countdown might be giving away the end result slightly :P Also 181-200 is a pretty good section :D
December 16, 201410 yr :hi: Reindeer Froot YASSS at Tom Odell appearing! Loving Charli XCX, Lily Allen, Iggy Azalea, Rita Ora, Ariana Grande and The Saturdays too in that section :D

In particular 'Pills n Potions' which continues to grow on me. One of her best for me now <3 O and will this chart be funky as well as fruity? Yes, there will be similar levels of funk as there are froots. B-) 'Pills N Potions' is definitely one of her best for me, I need to hear 'The Crying Game' though! Clean Bandit feat Stylo G - Come Over A more male-orientated section here, as well as it being fairly dance-orientated. 2014 was the year that dance truly dominated which meant songs like 'Waves' unexpectedly became one of the biggest hits of the year. I still don't fully understand it but due to many, many listens that I was subject to, it has grown on me a lot. 'Dibby Dibby Sound' though was a hit that I got, whereas many didn't and indeed it is the stuff of NIGHTMARES for vidcapper. Whilst the chorus is annoying, Ms Dynamite lifts the track, especially in the middle-8. The chorus does drag it down though which is why it is below 'Waves'. 'Come Over' sounded like a hot mess on first listen for me and is something that I really shouldn't like but it's so infectious that I can't deny it. It brings the sun sun sun sunshine. Clean Bandit favourite, Jess Glynne released her debut solo single, 'Right Here' after two massive features but, whilst very enjoyable, it is slightly too basic to place any higher. Labrinth made his return this year but fell a bit flat when compared to his previous efforts, 'Jealous' won't be making an appearance here (I don't hate it though like various others) and 'Let it Be' is a good song but doesn't justify a higher placing. Pale Green Ghosts is the first entirely BJSC-related song (in that it wasn't a chart hit afterwards - see 'Wicked Games') and so this is where I have to put my disclaimer. This chart does contain a number of BJSC discoveries but it's probably not fully representative and comparable to my love of other discoveries. If I have time, I may put a EOY Top 40 for BJSC :D
December 18, 201410 yr Waves is FAR TOO LOW  Pushing On is a v~ banging tune too :music: Dibby Dibby Sound gets too much hate but at least it's understandable. I love it though, such a fun song.

December 18, 201410 yr Right here and take me to church are both great, I love our time but it should have never been a single, uptight downtown is amazing and La Roux deserved to be massive this era and I adore trouble with my baby
December 18, 201410 yr Author Waves is FAR TOO LOW  Pushing On is a v~ banging tune too :music: Dibby Dibby Sound gets too much hate but at least it's understandable. I love it though, such a fun song. You should be lucky 'Waves' is even here x Yes I understand the hate for Dibby but people need to look past the Dibbyness. Alt-j's album is flawless. Left Hand Free is v~funky :funky: When will the Northampton Clown :manson: Am I the only one who LOVED 'Come Over'? :kink: My autumn 2k14 rave :cheer: #LeeCouldNeva 'This Is All Yours' is one of my favourites of the year and the other two singles are much higher up, 'Left Hand Free' doesn't meet their quality yet~ Yes. Seriously though, it contains everything I SHOULDN'T like e.g. heavy auto-tune and dodgy lyrics but I have a soft spot for it. Right here and take me to church are both great, I love our time but it should have never been a single, uptight downtown is amazing and La Roux deserved to be massive this era and I adore trouble with my baby  'Our Time' had such a messy release as well :drama: It's a good song but not one to lead the album. It's a shame about La Roux, I guess it shows how much gaps between albums matters.

One Direction - You and I 160. Neon Jungle - Welcome to the Jungle Track 2 :) on 'Welcome to the Jungle' called 'Welcome to the Jungle' is at 160. Paloma came back with a Pharrell-produced 'Can't Rely on You' but, as much as I want to love it, it refuses to grab hold of me despite having the whole year to do so. It just irritates me that the chorus doesn't have an elevating production like I feel it should do. Foster the People also made a comeback this year but they failed to reach the heights of their flawless debut.'Are You What You Want to Be? grew on me after hearing it plenty of times on FIFA 15 and the band still have two songs to feature. Oh Molly, it all looked so good before that fateful night but, no matter what happened, 'Children of the Universe' was our best entry in YEARS. Calvin + John should have secured a Top 20 EOY placing on name alone but unfortunately the outcome was something that I felt I'd heard numerous times before. Very enjoyable but if I'm judging on quality of the song, then I cannot place 'Blame' any higher. Hold on Mirror Man, Ella flops in at 146 with 'Yours', I don't think she'll be able to cope with this latest setback in her career! Every club's favourite song 'Young Blood' is at 145 :music: Coldplay gave us this era's stadium anthem in 'A Sky Full of Stars' but it's out of place Avicii production prevents it from reaching the (very high) standard of its predecessors. Kelis brought the FUNK this year before a certain duo but she sees her only two entries fall together here. Still yet to listen to 'FOOD' in full oops but 'Jerk Ribs' and 'Rumble' are very pleasant listens but don't go beyond that to warrant higher placings.
