So this has leaked and it's rather good I think! It lacks a sense of cohesion throughout but there are some fantastic songs on there. My personal favourites, the two singles aside, are Kill Em With Kindness, Sober and Camouflage.

Is it really a leak when it is now officially released in New Zealand and Australia etc.
OOOOH wonder if Sober will be about that alcohol addiction she had for like... a week.

bet you're feeling really silly right now

It leaked last night, so yes.

'Hands to Myself' is EVERYTHING.

Oh yes this one too  Wasn't so sure at first but found myself enjoying it more as it went on. Definitely one I'll be going back to a fair bit!

I'm actually glad that Selena's found a middle ground from a complete transformation (which was what I thought was gonna happen) and the same sound I fell in love with. It's very R&B with a bit of chill dance that seem to be popular around Tumblr.

My god, "Sober" is basically "Boom Clap" part 2 :P

My picks would be "Survivors", "Camouflage" (a.k.a. her best ballad YET), "Me & the Rhythm" and "Kill Em With Kindness".

I quite liked Good For You. But Ive just seen her Live Lounge cover of Rude. She really cant sing, so I cant take her seriously. [They would be better off not doing things like that tbh, take the Cheryl route)

She quite clearly *can* sing :P She's far from Mariah and quite often I do think she has songs that are too big for her vocally, but she can definitely sing.

^ not live she can't. Being able to sing with fifteen takes in the studio doesn't count for much if you can't sing a song like Rude in the live lounge without being propped up by backing singers.

Anyway the album is subpar, not really any better than Stars Dance (and lacking a song as great as Slow Down). Sober is the best song here and should be second/third single.

I saw that performance of 'Rude' and her voice was shockingly weak, especially considering the song isn't challenging in the slightest! She's an extremely limited vocalist - no real power or range. Her tone can be quite nice though.

We all have our opinions buddy, and I respect yours. As I said I liked Good For You and almost anyone can be made to sound decent in the studio nowadays.

But I cant be doing with singers who cant sing (live)- its kind a part of the job description for me :teresa: .

I think Selena is similar to Cheryl in terms of vocal ability, they both can sing but they do have a limited range and struggle to project on big stages - however both sound great on record.
Cheryl always sounds great on record? Even Live Life Now, an entirely spoken word song, was off key!
Selena a good singer? Selena does sound good on studio at times but her vocals are incredibly limited which means her albums can never be as good as they could potentially be.
After all the pessimism in here, I'm actually very pleasantly surprised by this! Some great production and vibes throughout, which let's be honest is what you look for in a Selena album because you certainly cannot rely on the vocals. No idea why Same Old Love was released, at all.
