yes teresa is in prison now. the whole of the last season everyone felt so bad for them and they very much played the woe is us card, our poor children are going to suffer...erm you were the ones who commited a number of crimes over a number of years!

 

atlanta is still fabulous for how quick nene and phaedra are, so much drag culture appropriation in the slang they use. i laugh multiple times every episode. this season of beverly hills is good also, the cast works well together and there is plenty of drama.

 

but yes deffo watch atlanta. i think nene is my favourite reality figure of all time:

8th Place - Alisa & Lysandra - The Block: Fans vs Favorites (292 Points)

For those of who who paid attention to my last years ranking will recognize Alisa & Lysandra from the Top 5 (they placed 5th). They won their season by quite a large margin and completely dominated. So - who else are you going to call when you're doing a Fans vs. Favorites season?!

 

They competed againsed another returning team and two new teams. This season however they had their heads sooooooo far up their own asses, it was amazing. They deserved credit however, their initial apartment - despite being on the f***ing GROUND FLOOR of a highrise, won.

 

Cue the attitude. Things started off very well - They won the first week with their Guest Bedroom, probably one of the best rooms I've seen to date. Things went f***ing south from there. They came LAST the following week, producing one of the WORST rooms I've ever seen - a hollow Guest Bathroom with wood planks and green sponge for effect? It was f***ing horrendous. Totally unexpected from them. They did rebound and won the next two rooms and were inconsistant from then on out.

 

They had a sense of entitlement and honestly felt that they were being unfairly judged all season long, well, only the times they DIDN'T win.

 

They were amazing, but not as amazing as what they were the season previous. Overall they came 2nd, losing by $20,000.

7th Place - Steven Goode - Big Brother UK 15 (293 Points)

You guys are probably all breathing a sigh of relief that Steven is now, finally, out.

 

 

As much as, yes, I hated Steven - the guy's pretty much TV gold. He went in alright, his VT wasn't that bad, he wasn't hated.. but, immediately formed a friendship with Pauline who was pretty much hated after Day 3.. so Steven in the eyes of the British Public was never going to look good.

 

He was a lad's lad, hung out with the boys and Helen, talked shit about Danielle and Ashleigh and was trying to mack on Kimberly at any opportunity.

 

2 SECOND STEVEN!

 

At the end of the day, I guess he got the girl? A lesson for all straight men out there, if you pester a girl enough - she will let you bang her on National TV.

I guess what really made the public cringe was Steven's CONSTANT "do you love me, I love you, tell me you love me" with Kimberly.

 

Holistically, Steven was pretty horrible. He's the classic "this is what you DON'T do" when you go into Big Brother. But...... who's talking about it now? Just me and Liam I suppose. Everyone else has moved on, doesn't care. Sure, he was on Big Brother - but is his life ruined, lost his millions and is unemployed? Probably not. I appreciated Steven really going for it.

6th Place - Danielle McMahon - Big Brother UK 15 (294 Points)

Danielle beats out Steven by just 1 Point!

I actually feel pretty bad for Danielle, she wasn't set up for success going into the Big Brother house. Her VT really haunted her for the entire time that she was there. She's a Model, but she's also "Strict Catholic", basically meaning she doesn't believe in sex before marriage or same sex marriage.

 

Hm. To be honest, I thought this was all a ruse. I don't exactly remember, but has Danielle not actually HAD sex? Or at least done sexual things? Added on to this, when you Google her name all you get is underwear modeling shots and at some point she disclosed she was a Webcam Model as well.

 

Danielle was complex and in my opinion, marking up her religious views to come across as different and unique. Another layer to this was that she dated last years Runner-Up, Dexter. Who undoubtedly gave her some sage advise on how to survive in the house. With that being said, his advise was actually sound - Danielle survived twice despite having a high likelihood of going home.

 

The "In House" Danielle wasn't all that terrible either. She formed a friendship with Ashleigh and hated Helen, which, on it's own should have been a recipe for success. Her almost flirtmance with Winston was quite comical as well. You can tell she's not too versed in flirting with men. Alas, her VT caught up with her when Zoe/Pav were "confused" by the Danielle they saw in the house, and with their powers, sent her home.. which I don't believe should have ever happened.

 

Danielle wasn't really a threat and to be honest, I think she actually could have survived a few more weeks - but win? Nope. No way.

I cant take this seriously with Helen in the Top 5. :( Sorry.

Danielle :wub: Her sobbing over the fact they made her a Bloody Mary because it was so blasphemous was one of my highlights of the series. And "THAT WAS MY FISH" <3 She was most probably fake and was probably in reality a massive whore but hey she was HILARIOUS.

5th Place - Ashleigh Coyle - Big Brother UK 15 (339 Points)

Sacre bleu!

I'm ready to get SHAT on for having Ashleigh lower than Helen, Mark and even Christopher. Although, she is a good 45 points above even Danielle.

 

Although I admit that Ashleigh was very like-able, very root-able end game. She was f***ing boring and invisible for the first 3 weeks. It wasn't really until Toya turned on the house and was aligned with Ashleigh that Ashleigh really started to get any airtime.

 

I've also called Ashleigh out several times last season for being such a hypocrite. In conversations with say, Chris or Toya - she wanted to play the toughie that would call Helen out for her bullshit and bullying. Which in the first 8 weeks never actually happened. Despite saying that it would. Almost every day.

 

Mid to End Season Ashleigh was actually quite enjoyable, hence she's in my Top 5 alone. Very root-able, very like-able, very enjoyable. I think she would have been a great winner - but not AMAZING. Out of the people at the end however, she was the best choice.

 

Overall with Ashleigh I'm left with two emotions. Distaste for not holding her own in the beginning and possibly securing herself early on a win. And respect that she made it final two in a really tough season.

Ashleigh is second only to Gina in terms of C5 housemates tbh, what a woman.

4th Place - Christopher Hall - Big Brother UK 15 (358 Points)

I know this may sound a little vapid, but doesn't Christopher look like John Mark Karr, the guy that said he killed JonBenét Ramsey.

Anyways. Completely ostracized by the likes of Pauline and Helen pretty much Day 1, Christopher's journey was quite interesting. Very early on Christopher was picked on became part of the "loser" group if you will. Unlike Ashleigh however Christopher wasn't afraid to speak his mind and stand up for himself - even if it got him in some deeper water. I remember one particular argument with Helen where he just took a beating not only from her, but her peons as well. Sometimes, Christopher, it's best just to keep your mouth shut.

 

He gained support from the public and lasted a few evictions while not exactly being the focal point of the house - until his relationship with Mark came out of blue. After Matthew was evicted, Mark's closest friend, Mark went on to find a new best buddy (pretty much 5 seconds after Matthew was evicted). Hence, Chriark was born. Oddly enough to this point I had no idea that Christopher was even gay? It seemed to me like Matthew and Christopher were the same housemate. Awkward, white, could be mistaken as gay but maybe not? Wasn't Matthew supposed to be straight?

 

Oh god now I think I'm confusing some Matthew moments with some Christopher moments. Perhaps that argument with Helen listed above was actually Matthew?

 

God. This season was so horribly cast it's unbelievable.

 

ANYWAYS. I know this for certain. CHRISTOPHER and Mark began somewhat of an awkward relationship in the house. I think it was genuine from the Christopher side, Mark? Not so much. This story-line gave Christopher some highlights now throughout the show, rather than just being the picked on guy in the house.

 

Everything eventually went south when Mark became a mental patient and the public turned on him and he turned on Christopher. Well, at least Christopher came out of it smelling like roses, except for the fact that he tried anything with Mark in the first place.

 

Christopher was alright, I appreciate when people stand up for themselves, despite him not necessarily doing the best job of it.

Christopher is so cute, you just want to hug him <3 I agree he went on a nice journey too, it was like we saw him grow in confidence. Ashleigh was my top choice but it would have been nice for him to win!

3rd Place - Skye Wheatley - Big Brother Australia (386 Points)

That moment above just shows how invaluable Skye was this season. Like a breath of fresh air in an otherwise dull season - Skye was clearly one of the favorites from pretty much moment one.

 

Ditsy, Blonde and Full of Fun - Skye was the ULTIMATE housemate this year. Even beating out Priya.

She was just a beautiful, refreshing character, very much needed in this season full of dull men and bitchy women. Skye started out amazingly - down to earth, fun and pounding out those one liners and retarded head tilts with her questions.

 

 

This should have been the final two, yall.

It all went a little south for Skye however once Leo entered. She did seem desperate all season to have a showmance - she tried with Jake and that didn't go anywhere.. as soon as Leo entered she had her claws in him. She slowly started to become more arrogant and full of herself. I think the turning point for her popularity on the outside was her fight with Ryan.

 

Any person with half a braincell would have known Skye was in the right, and Ryan was just an Under-The-Radar douche, but alas, the Australian Public who's NOTORIOUS for selecting the weakest of the pack for their winners sided with Ryan. Ugh.

 

Skye like I said also became somewhat arrogant. It was very clear that she was a favorite outside of the house and that really went to her head.

 

 

She could sing too! How accurate are the artists on that summary?!

 

Alas, it wasn't meant to be as Skye made it to the finals, but finished 3rd - MUCH LIKE MY TOP 100!

Evil has triumphed this year. The final two - Mark and Helen.

Both of those were in my top 20 WORST :( Skye is amazing though, what a QoL <3 She really should/could have won but I think BBAU has the third place curse too - Estelle, Tahan and now Skye (even I preferred Layla to Estelle and Priya to Skye :P). I agree that her popularity (always being saved with the most votes) went to her head a little, or she would have won :(

How on earth can you warrant having them as your top two? All entitled to our own opinions but seriously?! :lol:

By no means is Helen or Mark my Favorite Reality TV Star of 2014. If I was basing it off people I liked the most, Priya from BBAU would probably be in the top spot.

There's an algorithm to all this madness. Helen I think we will remember for years to come - not for good reasons, however, but that beyond the point.
