December 25, 20159 yr Author And on that note, what a wonderful year but I've decided that this - my last chart of 2015 - is to be my last, at least in a chart format. It's been great doing it for 16 and a half years (wow!), but I just don't have the time to keep it all up anymore, even a top ten, because I always get OCD about doing playlists on iTunes and updating YTD charts every week and it's all very time consuming somehow so will be easier just to keep little playlists to add to when I download new music. Sooo, after making the chart smaller and smaller for years, from now on I might pop up a 'current playlist' every now and then, when the mood grabs, and I will of course count down an end of year chart at the end of every year, but I'll have to compile it at the end of the year in one go, rather than updating a YTD every other week. It's been great fun, and I still love the charts, but the joy I used to have from compiling my own weekly chart has rather waned. People will still hear about my favourite songs in other ways I'm sure, but it makes sense to make this change at the end of a year and give myself back a couple of hours every weekend from now on. Thanks for all the comments on my weekly chart over the years, it's really been so appreciated <3 Edited December 25, 20159 yr by gooddelta
December 25, 20159 yr The iconic Hit Parade that gave Sheelah the impression they had an actual hit </3. For whatever reason, your chart when I first joined, stood out as the one that everyone seemed to be interested in and most of all was the one chart I'd avidly check to see if my BJSC entries had appeared. Shame to see you ending it but it makes sense of course!
December 26, 20159 yr Author Ha, oh yes, bless them, I'd completely forgotten about that *.* I honestly spent about 5 or 6 hours a week in this forum at one point commenting and looking at other charts and I do miss that as I used to find lots of great stuff and speak to people about music passionately. It was a great way to interact, rather than just waltzing in and copying and pasting a list, which seems pointless with no additional comments or thoughts to add. But life has sadly taken over in a way I never thought possible and I barely have an hour to put together my own chart every week now, let alone comment on others (and it's unfair to expect people to comment on mine therefore). EOY charts are different somehow, I still love compiling them and I still love looking at and commenting on everyone elses. Edited December 26, 20159 yr by gooddelta
